Hi everybody!! I know that my introduction is long overdue, my apologies. I've been getting so wrapped up in all of the interesting reads and pictures on this board that i forgot to introduce myself.

My name is Jessica, or Jess, either one is perfectly fine with me. I'm 24 and work at the local casino as a blackjack dealer. I plan to go back to school next fall and finish my degree in Nursing. For now i'm just enjoying working and making money. I give credit to my mother for getting me interested in the Eagles. I can remember taking many long car trips with her and cleaning the house with the Eagles music in the background as i was growing up. It wasn't till i bought the Very Best Of cd that i became completely enamored with their music. I was definitely hooked after that and, i think only those on this board would understand, I had to have every album, cd, poster, tshirt, dvd... i had to have everything and anything Eagles.

After watching the HFO video, I was particularly struck by the voice of the amazing Mr. Henley. And it didn't hurt that i thought he was/is just completely and adorably HOT!!! In 2004, i came so close to seeing Don in concert in Oklahoma City but it was cancelled and i was incredibly bummed out about that for the longest time until Sept. 2005 when a friend told me that he would be giving a lecture in Denton, TX. Denton was only 2 1/2 hours away so i of course had to be there. Little did i know when i got there, i would actually get to meet the man. It was so great to get to meet him. Only problem was that i was so nervous that i couldn't hardly speak. I at least managed to get an autograph and ask for a picture with him. I finally got to see him in concert in Aug. 2007 at the Zoo Ampitheater in Oklahoma City. It was even more exciting than i ever thought it would be. The only thing that i had left to do was to see him live in concert with the Eagles and i got that chance on Sept. 6, 2008 in Tulsa. I was lucky enough to have front row tickets to that concert. I still think that i never would have gotten to have those experiences if it wasn't for my mother introducing me to their music. I was so glad that she got to accompany me to both of the concerts. It was the perfect mother-daughter moments and something she and i will always treasure.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the guys again on Nov. 11 in Tulsa. I've got a second row ticket for that show. I'm making plans to go to Tampa to see them in January for my birthday. Hopefully everything will work out with that. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I would also like to add that i have already found everyone on this board to be a great group of people. It's so wonderful to be apart of a community that have just as much interest in the Eagles as i do.

Thanks for giving some info about yourself, Jess. I'd love to see that photo too!

How awesome that you've got second row seats. You'll have to post a review here afterwards so we can all live vicariously!

Hi again Jess!
(Jess & I met at Don's lecture in Linden, and we saw each other again at Don's solo concert in OK--they were both fantastic nights!)
It is great to have you on the board!

Hi PB; good to meet you! I'd be interested to hear the scoop on the lecture...that sounds cool! What sort of establishment was it at, and what did he speak about? Was it a fund-raiser for one of his causes?

I'm 24 and work at the local casino as a blackjack dealer.

Hey P-a-B! Hmmm.....Oklahoma....Blackjack! Tell you what, you talk 'em into getting rid of the $.50 ante on every hand and I'll burn I-35 up looking for your table! (We fly out this morning in about 15 minutes for Las Vegas).

My wife and I turned on both our kids (a bit older than you) to the Eagles. I won't go into details, but I'm quite sure both have a heritage dating to pre natal <LOL>

I didn't remember that concert being canceled in 2004. We've been to at least two and maybe three concerts in OKC....once with our kids.

Anyway, you've been "here" longer than I have but still....welcome!

Hey, Jess, and welcome! It's great to know more about you and I would also love to see your pic with Don! Cool idea for a tattoo, too!

Even though my kids were raised on the Eagles, (and most likely listened in the womb, also) they like them, but still find the current artists more to their everyday liking. Sometimes, excuse me, but they aren't very smart! (Kidding of course!)

Long may you post!

Hi Jess, I've enjoyed reading your posts. How sweet that you went with your mom to the concert and give her credit for 'introducing' you to them!

Don gave a lecture about the Caddo Lake Institute. It was held at the University of North Texas.

Why Jess, Don's tie is all askew and his face is flushed... what did you do to him? ;)

Thanks for posting the pic! I understand the desire to crop yourself out - I've done the same thing in the past!

Lol! If only i could say that i did something to him. I was way too nervous to form a sentence let alone make any sort move on him. lol. Hopefully if i get the chance to meet him again, all the nervousness will be behind me.

I don't really mind posting my pic on here but i just don't like myself in that particular picture.

Here's something interesting...when i met Don, I got him to autograph my End of the Innocence album. He started to sign it with a silver marker but it wasn't working right so he licked his finger and tried to wipe it off but he actually ended up smearing it a little bit. I always giggle just thinking to myself that i have a part of Mr. Henley's DNA.

Hi Jess, I've enjoyed seeing you around here too, and it was great to learn some more about you (especially as we're quite similar in age.)

Needless to say, I am insanely jealous of your Don experiences - I'm yet to see him in the flesh - but I'm thrilled you've been so lucky. Those memories will never fade, I'm sure!

Ticky - I back your cloning project 100%.
