I wanted to ask you about the flannel shirts. Do you not like that look on Don? I have to say, I actually am a great fan of that look! I first noticed the flannel shirt in the Christchurch videos, and I was very impressed. I thought it really made his broad shoulders stand out even more!:inlove:

It's not actually flannel but PLAID shirts that I don't like, Stars.

The first time I saw Don solo was a rainy night in Atlanta and he came out in those famously ugly work boots (that we now know the history of) and an ugly plaid shirt similar to the one my husband wears to clean out our garage. NOT the image I had in my mind of the sexy voice I always heard on the radio singing Dirty Laundry and Hotel California. Of course, when he opened his mouth to sing and he started talking to the audience and sharing his stories, I forgot about his attire. However, when I started researching him on the Net and found his performances on Storytellers and the Inside Job special, where he was wearing the open-necked brown shirt, for example, or a crisp white shirt, black vest & jeans---now THOSE are looks I prefer!

But as you all know, Don is Don and I will always love him, no matter what he wears!

I actually find Joe's pants less objectionable then some of the others. At least he's not wearing them with Don's shirt. I dont have anything against Don's plaid shirt (on the contrary! I have to weigh in here as all for it!!) but mixing plaids... no... but Joe looks great in that kahki color.

I will say that Joe has succeeded in matching the shirt and pants quite nicely, and obviously is not self-conscious in the least regarding what he wears! Rather refreshing! I still prefer him in jeans or the black leather I think I saw posted recently!

I love this one. I loved him in Storytellers. I would have given anything to have been in the audience for that. Whenever I read reviews where he is called a "curmudgeon" or "scary and opinionated," I always want to tell the reviewers to watch his show and see how charming he can be. Listening to him tell his stories about growing up in the South, doing that long version of Sunset Grill, dressing up and doing that hilarious rap version of LITFL....he was wonderful, and the entire show was terrific.

I love, love, LOVE Storytellers! Don is absolutely, 100% charming in that concert! My sister didn't have a clue who it was...couldn't see the computer screen....and just from hearing him talk she was intrigued. Course she did also follow that with "he has a gorgeous speaking voice." ;) Anyway....the version of BOS on there gives me goosebumps and HOTM....wow! I could go on and on....but you can obviously tell I love it! And that's just MUSICALLY speaking.............the outfit! PERFECT!! The hair! PERFECT!! :thumbsup:
