Very, very tragic. I read about this online, and I was so saddened to hear about it. My prayers and thoughts are with the families of those who were tragically killed. I pray for peace and comfort for them. I just can't imagine what they are going through right now.

When they reported that a couple of musicians were aboard I had to stop and wonder if any of the "Guys" might be doing something solo and were on board, but I found out that it wasn't anyone I had heard of. Still feel real sorry for the families of all on board and the family of the man that was killed in his home.

This story really made me feel sick. Those poor people. My heart goes out to their loved ones.

I just read an article that the plane was still on autopilot at the time of the crash, which is a violation of Federal Aviation Policy in icy weather (which was the case at the time.) Apparently, the plane had a lot of ice on its wings; and at that point the pilot should've switched to manual piloting. So there is much to be investigated regarding this. I was in tears Friday am when I first heard about the crash on the radio...the thought of the family of the 911 widow losing their father a few years ago in one disaster and now their mother in another. How tragic for them, as well as all of the other families who have lost their loved one!

After the heroic plane story last month this is very tragic.

Ive always been a dreamer

PM - I was thinking the same thing. I remember the exuberance that everyone felt after the U.S. Airways plane landed in the Hudson River last month, only to be followed by this sad tragedy. I hope that all of the victims' families find comfort in knowing that so many people are thinking and praying for them.

I've only had a chance to look at this thread now, although I did hear of the crash in the news. How devastating for the people effected and their families. May God protect them.

I was very sad to hear about the Buffalo crash, and today there is news of more casualties when a Turkish Airlines 737 broke up on landing at Schiphol in the Netherlands. Fortunately most people escaped alive from this one. My thoughts are with the families of all the victims.

Mine too.

At least there are some survivors; it's unusual for plane wrecks.

Thats exactly what I thought as well when I heard this latest crash mentioned on the radio, Koala. It was a miracle that some people survived, but as always, my thoughts and prayers are with the dead, the injured and their families.
