Lissa found this here: www.pauldavidson.net/2006...d-end-job/ (http://www.pauldavidson.net/2006/09/21/wentworth-miller-can-break-out-of-prison-but-not-a-dead-end-job/)

"And don’t even get me started on my recent run-in with The Eagles’ Glenn Frey — spotted out in palatial Brentwood, California outside a restaurant (no, not doing drugs or playing music or scoping chicks)…telling his young son that he’s going to have to be patient for his pizza and to go back into the restaurant and behave like a little gentleman.

Now, everytime I hear “Hotel California” I’m going to think of a restaurant instead. And everytime The Eagles sing about how the Hotel California has “plenty of room at the hotel california” I’m just going to think that, sure, there’s plenty of room at the table as long as you act like a little gentleman and wait patiently for your pizza. And everytime I think about Glenn Frey singing “Smuggler’s Blues”, well… I’m going to wish I had thought about Hotel California instead.

Man, the chasm between expectation and reality is really really huge."

Aw!!!!!

Nice to know he's also In Charge of his family. :D

So they ARE still in Brentwood.

Ah, but maybe it was Cindy who said something like "Glenn, take him outside and have a talk with him!" Which technically puts Cindy in charge!

In other words, Glenn rules the roost. Cindy rules the rooster.

That is cool, Sheryl. Glenn the Rooster. My rugby league team, the Roosters, could do with some celebrity support... oh never mind.

This is cute. I love the way the author of the article thinks. It is so true - it's hard to think of rock stars outside of a pizza parlor disciplining their young kids. That is so uncool, Glenn.

Glenn rules the roost. Cindy rules the rooster.

That's a new one for me. I love it!

That is very cute. Nice to hear a mention of the youngest even if he was playing up!

Love your quote, Molly!

You know, one of my sons paid me back for every grey hair my husband ever gave my mother-in-law. :D It wasn't fair since I was such a good child. lol As a grandmother, I can just see Nellie sitting there with a grin everytime Glenn has to talk to one of the kids about some behavior he was guilty of as a kid.

Oh c'mon PLS - you don't really think Glenn ever misbehaved now do you?

My boys seldom acted up in public when they were little (they've made up for it since). I really dislike when you hear a parent yelling at their kid in public, so, if one of them was being naughty I would just say, "Look at my face" and give them the angriest face I could muster. Most of the time they wouldn't even look at me, but they always stopped misbehaving!

Btw, that face also works on husbands.

EF - that is so mean - but it is also so funny. :D :D

Where I come from, we call that a beer gut. I'm sure that can't be true in Glenn's case.

It is really sad that we (fans) put famous people on a pedistal. They are people too..... Would we want them for our family? Remember, before you opening your mouth and insert foot, put your foot in the shoe. Just some friendly advice.

Remember, before you opening your mouth and insert foot, put your foot in the shoe. I like that expression!
The lovely thing about Glenn is that although he is a star when he performs, we do get to see the real person in such moments as the one with his son. Those of us lucky enough to have met him (not me sadly) can attest to the fact that he is a charming, considerate human being.

True, Trouble. It's not good to idolize anyone, and we must check our tendency to do so. Welcome, BTW. :)
