Did you see the small print at the bottom. Echo a TicketMaster Co. Irving strikes again????

I didn't think Irving was still involved with Bernie in any way, but if he is, perhaps he is helping to make the site better by taking it down temporarily?

Odd that there would be no message to that effect, though. "Site under refurbishment, will be back online soon..."

Alternatively, perhaps Bernie lost interest in the site, let his ownership of the domain lapse, and Irving snapped it up to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. Whenever you have a URL that is www. [name of artist] .com you will almost certainly be mistaken for the official site. That is why all of my URLs include "online" even if www. [name of Eagle] .com was available. I have no wish to be mistaken for the official site.

Edited to add: None of the above are correct. Scroll down to Post 7.

This is all very weird. Upon closer examination, this site is apparently being used as a gateway for some type of service - or at least being set up to do so. It's all very unclear, but check these out:

Hmm.....

Edited to add:
Apparently "Echo" is already kaput.

Ah, mystery solved, folks.

Reading the above article (http://www.themusicvoid.com/2009/06/hello-echo-closes-down-leaving-artists-in-the-lurch/), something occurred to me. Perhaps Bernie Leadon was one of the artists "left in the lurch" so to speak.

I used the WayBack Machine to check out the old Bernie Leadon site (http://web.archive.org/web/20080214215044/http://bernieleadon.com/), and I discovered that it was indeed "Powered by Echo."

The Echo site used to look like this:
http://web.archive.org/web/20071211105627rn_2/www.echomusic.com/

Now that is is gone, apparently, the sites it powered are gone too - at least temporarily.

1100 Glendon Ave, LA is the same address as Eagle Touring Company.

An interesting development. www.echomusic.com (http://www.echomusic.com) now loads to www.helloecho.com (http://www.helloecho.com), registered through GoDaddy.

The index page has the this posted on it:

Site upgrades in progress

We’re upgrading the site so we had to temporarily make it unavailable. Don’t worry, we’ll have everything put back together in a jiffy so please check back later.

TThe domain is registered to Live Nation.
