Saw this on Twitter earlier:

"Interview with Don Henley coming next month, preview the show and listen to more online! http://bit.ly/Wl7zr"

(the page says Week of Aug. 24th so keep your eye on it...)

Not sure if I'll be able to listen since no computer :brickwall:or a radio station that will air this. Thanks for the heads up. :)

I have no way to listen, is it the typical interview?

I'm listening to it now. Sigh! It's labelled as Don Henley - The End Of The Innocence (20th Anniversary), and from what I can gather, it's snippets of interviews from the past. Don was just talking about having released Building The Perfect Beast ("ten songs that I really liked") and he's discussing The End Of The Innocence now... Good piece, but don't get too excited guys - it doesn't seem to be a "new" interview.

He's just talked about liking Led Zeppelin. High-five, Willie! ;)

Which reminds me that he said to Glyn Johns 'can you make me sound like John Bonham' to which Johns replied 'you don't play like John Bonham' (well DUH. It was not given to many drummers to play like Bonzo). I wonder which are Don's favourite Zep tracks.

:yay: :headbang: What did he have to say about Zep? Another thing Mr. Henley and I agree on. :-)

Just that he wanted I Will Not Go Quietly to be a heavy metal song, with a soulful/bluesy sound... slightly reminiscent of Led Zeppelin. He obviously wouldn't compare himself to them, but he's always liked their music and he stills thinks they were the best at what they did.

I guessed that later on. Interesting.

Thanks for the bits of info, Lou. I was wanting to listen to it but missed it when it aired on my local classic rock station this past sunday.
