It's my Borderversary!!!

Yesterday was one year since I became a member of this wonderful community. I'm so glad that I joined this place. I've met such wonderful people both online and in person who share the same interests as me and I'm proud to call each of you my friends. My love for the Eagles has grown even greater since I joined and I credit that to all of my fellow Borderers. I love getting to share stories not only about our favorite band but also about other interests as well. This really is a great group of Eagles fans that we have here. I hope to get the chance to meet more Borderers in the future...hopefully for that Border concert that we've been talking about for so long.

Aah, Happy Borderversary, my friend! Mine's coming up on the 25th... I can hardly believe I've been here a year, too. Although in a way, it feels much longer.

I echo everything you said about the members of this community. And I'd also like to add what a valuable presence you bring to the boards. I can hardly believe that, purely through this board, I've been able to travel to Oklahoma this summer to see Don Henley for the very first time. It's been crazy! And it wouldn't have happened without the generosity of you and your family. You are such a sweetheart, and I'm thrilled to have made such a wonderful friend from across the Atlantic!

Amen to what Troub said! The Border is lucky to have you, Jess! I'm so glad you found us, too. I hope one day I will be able to meet you "for real"!

I've been thinking. When they hit California, we should designate a show where, if possible, Borderers can meet up. Sacramento would be great because then we could hook up with native Californian Perfect Little Sister, who doesn't get a chance to post much anymore.

Awww, thanks everybody!!! I feel the same about all of you. I can't imagine a better group of people that I would want to share my love of the Eagles with...well, except maybe the Eagles themselves :hilarious:. But seriously, thanks for all of the kind words. You are all really amazing people. I had such a wonderful time while Lou was here and it was also great getting to meet Brooke in Columbia as well as getting to meet Dana (aka Donfan) a couple times. I look forward to meeting more Borderers in the future.
