Yes - not listed on Ticketmaster nor the venue site. Guess we just have to keep an eye on them.

Do we know how much tickets are for this event yet? I can't seem to find it.

sodascouts

I'm not sure. It's not on the venue site, nor on Ticketmaster yet. I imagine they'll be $60, $80, and $90 like the Foxwoods and Windsor dates. Atlantic City is higher, but it seems Atlantic City always has jacked up prices. Then again, that last Chicago date the Eagles did also had jacked up prices, even though the first two Chicago dates didn't. I wait with bated breath....

luvthelighthouse

If they are under $100, I'm going to try and make it. Soda, you mentioned the last Eagles show was inflated. I don't recall that. I went to the Sept and March shows and thought the prices were approx the same. I recall paying almost $500 (w/all the fees) for two tix in Sept and approx $240 for one tix in March.

Maybe it was because I got it at the venue and not through ticketmaster, but my ticket for the first Chicago concert was $200. A $40 difference in prices from that one to the one several months later is significant, I think - especially since the other shows they were doing still cost the lower price with the exception of dates in New York and thereabouts. Of course, I'm pretty cheap!

luvthelighthouse
09-23-2009, 11:16 AM
Ah, I see. Yes, I can see 40 dollars being a jump... I think in my head I figured, over $200 is over $200, be it $20 or $40 more. I really remember thinking, I'm freaking nuts to be paying over $200 to see a concert, this is highway robbery! I guess thats one strike against living in one of the bigger cities. (NY, Chicago, LA)

Been there! After a bit of mild surprise that you would be prepared to travel distances to see these guys, the hubbies are generally OK about it.

I might use these Don gigs to put out feelers for potential Glenn  gigs......

Hey guys, you can always get the "Official Platinum Seats" that Ticketmaster is so kind as to hold back from the general public sale...

As I was getting out the car I hear, "see Don Henley in a rare solo appearance. Nov 9 at the Rosemont Theatre"... and they go on to play numerous snippets of his songs. He sounded so good, how can I not go? :hilarious:

I just looked at an old thread and realized I paid $185 for my Eagles ticket in Chicago, not $200. The third Chicago Eagles show was a $55 dollar difference from the first two, not $40. That's a 30% hike. I'm just bringing this up for the interests of accuracy - but it does seem to be lining up with the fact that the Chicago Henley show has prices comparable to Atlantic City rather than those in Canada and Virginia.

There hasn't been too much promotion for this show that I've heard. Only the one commerical on the radio... and finally, just today, they have put up Don's pic and date on the billboard in Rosemont.

I'm still toying w/this show... I can't make up my mind.

Yeah, I checked (just for grins) on tickets over the weekend, and was offered 5th row (right side of the stage) seats for a hefty price.

:sigh:

I'd love to go, but not for the ticket price PLUS lodging and gas.

Fan_For_Life
10-20-2009, 08:22 AM
I can certainly understand the pricing issue. It came as a surprise that I would have the chance to see him in only a few weeks time so I took my chances, paid $150 for the seat, forgot about lodging and spent the rest of the night after the show at Miami International Airport. Not so bad as there was a tv and other folks to keep me company. For me it was worth it. He does put on one heck of a show.

Being just 12 days away, has anyone decided on going to this show for sure yet? To be honest, I'm still teetering myself. I haven't even checked for tickets in over a week. Although, I did try to win them from a radio station yesterday. Sadly, I was not caller fifteen. :-(

I've decided I'll attend if I get a good seat. I'm going to do the walk-up on the day-of as usual, but if I can't get up front, I'm not shelling out that kind of money.

luvthelighthouse
10-28-2009, 11:50 AM
Soda, that takes so much courage for that drive! I'd hate for you to make the drive and not get a good seat. Then it seems like "wasted time". I sure hope you get what you are looking for. The pit, right? I'd be happy w/first ten rows. Only because it appears that every seat in the house is pretty decent... but not all up close and personal.

sodascouts
10-28-2009, 12:10 PM
True, true. OK, I'll get a cheap seat if I can't be right up front. You still get to hear the music back there even if you don't have as much fun, so it's all good and it won't be a wasted trip. If you go, let me know and we'll meet up again!

Persistence pays! I've been checking TM since the date was announced and never pulled up anything in the orchestra pit. Today, they just dropped third row pit! I snapped it up. I think there's more if anyone else wants to get a ticket.

I should also note that to my pleasant surprise, there were no additional TM fees on this.

5 hours 'til show time! I've never seen Don solo before, so tonight should be fun. I'm going to "try" to enjoy it the way Don would want me to. I haven't read the set list, so I'm going to enjoy each song as is comes out w/out any expectations. I'll try to relax and soak it in w/out trying to take pictures (which will probably be banned anyway). I'm sure he'll be amazing!

You mean no standing unless it's a fast one and you look behind you and others are on their feet? And for God's sake don't take the American flag! :fear: And no pictures unless you want the wrath of Don to come down on you!

I hope everyone knows I'm being facetious. I'm sure this is going to be a great show and if it wasn't so expensive to get good seats I'd probably be there myself!
