I just looked and realized today is my One year Borderversary of joining! :partytime:

You know, I was thinking of this just the other day when I was looking at the member list. Guess there was something in the air around this time last year!

In my case, the 23rd was when my membership in a certain Fan Club expired. The next day, I ended up here and haven't looked back <LOL>.

ETA: I just noticed my own date of joining-Sept. 2006! I looked up the date and it was the 20th! :shock:

I think I started lurking this site about a year ago when I (finally) bought LROE and found a thread that reviewed the CD.

But I have no proof. :laugh:

Yep - I remember that boom last fall when many of you joined as well. Must've been something in the water. :wink: Congratulations to all of you.

Maybe that spurt of those us that joined a year ago could be because of the fall leg of the tour. I also lurked for awhile prior to joining but it wasn't till after I saw the guys in concert for the first time on Sept. 6, 2008 that I decided to join. Reading about everybody's experiences and adoration of the Eagles made me want to join in on all of the fun around here. After a year of being here, i'm sooo glad that I joined. Now I can't imagine not having a place like this to talk about our favorite band.

Peek and PM, y'all might be right. In my case, it wasn't the tour though. I just didn't want to lose contact with all my Eagles friends and many were/are members here. If they are not, they should be <smile>

I know my Borderversary is coming up next week, Oct.1. And, in my case, it's definitely because of the fall leg of the tour. I think I even commented later last year that every time another leg revved up, we always seemed to collect a few new members. But it does seem that last summer/fall reaped quite the harvest, hey?:thumbsup:
