So, I've got the TV on while I'm working on the computer and I keep hearing these REALLY ANNOYING commercials. I figure I'd make a thread where we can trash our least favorite commercials!

OH MY GOSH, WHY GAP WHY??? It's like they want people to hate them! At least their lameness is equal-opportunity, so people of all religions can cringe.

And this is supposed to make me wanna buy Old Navy WHY? Those mannequins are freaky and the Oedipal element is gross.

ALL the commercials about Hill Shire Farms meat products. I can't stand the darn things. They get to me so bad I have to mute the tv.

AZ, I am the same way about those Hillshire Farms commercials! Anytime one comes on, I have to grab the remote. They are probably the most irritating commercials I have ever seen!:yuck:
I know I will NEVER eat a Hillshire Farms product in my life!

We have a tv in our break room at work and everyday at lunch time we turn it on and watch Young & Restless. During the commercials we always have to watch about gas, bloating, constipation, toilet paper, and various other stomach or feminine problems. Ugh!

I'd much rather hear about food or clothes at that time!

I agree Soda - that Gap commercial with all the dancers is SUPER ANNOYING! We have a local commercial which is enough to drive you to drink. It is for a restaurant called 'Spangles' - it's a sort of 50's theme burger place. OMG! They have this really annoying song they sing and this spokeswoman who is so cheery and smiley you just want to smack her. They play this commercial 100 times a day - I am NOT kidding! :stop::enraged: :hilarious:

This is the most annoying ad on television right now in my opinion. I cant stand John Basedow!!! well there is ONE other ad that I mute when it comes on for a children toy vanity (kind of disturbing all on its own..) that shows one little girl washing brushing and styling another little girls hair (the poor kid looks like she's going to cry through her fake smile), but I couldnt find that ad on youtube.
THIS guy just needs a really good laxative.

I will try and explain which ads I dislike as obviously the ads I see aren't on American TV.

On pay TV you have endless ads for insurance companies and really crappy products like dust removers and 'miracle' cleaning cloths, not to mention some sort of blanket that the ad solemnly assures you you can wear in public and you won't be laughed it. They are the 'and that's not all... call now and you'll get.... etc etc' ads with the pitch repeated endlessly.

I really hate ads which glorify advertising agencies instead of selling the product. A bank has an ad featuring ad men trying to pitch ad ideas to bank staff, who then come up with lines like 'why don't we just say customer service is important' - self-referential rubbish like that.

How annoying is that and on how many levels?? The music alone is enough to give you a massive headache (we wont even go into the whole fashion sense idea or the idiocy of the product itself)

I must agree the Snuggie is ridiculous. The Today Show gang all dressed up in them a while back and did a little spot about them. It was really funny.

And you know the Snuggie is EVERYWHERE!!! I saw it in every store we were in yesterday! It's the new Chia Pet. :rofl:

I remembered this one the other day. I absolutely hate all the commercials that show women as being b*tchy and men as being stupid!! This is one of the worst.
