Felder the Golfer

Since Don Felder does a lot of golfing, I figured we'd make a thread for the stuff he participates in and the comments he makes. This latest one is from movieschats.com (http://www.movieschats.com/hugh-grants-life-movie-and-golf/):

"According to the Eagles guitarist Don Felder, 'it’s easy to play guitar, anybody can learn a few chords. But to play a good round of golf is really difficult. I can play music to 50,000 people, but this is frightening.'”

Very interesting - I've heard many professional athletes that excel at their game say pretty much the same thing as Felder. They find the likes of pro football and basketball to be easier to master than the game of golf. Whoda thunk it???? :wink:

Funny you should start a thread about Felder being a golfer. I saw on Felderfans this afternoon that Felder is playing in the Bob Hope Classic in nearby LaQuinta, CA this week-starts tomorrow. Guess what started today? A week of rain. I live about 45 minutes due west so I know it's raining there too. Nice.

The Bob Hope Classic got rained out for today-Thursday. Felder is set to tee off tomorrow around 10:18 a.m. I say around then because we are due for storm number 4 tomorrow morning. The weather is insane. A couple of tornadoes touched down near Seal Beach the other day. No one got hurt but we never get tornadoes in SoCal. I've lived here 25 years and we only had one other tornado in all that time. There were reports on the news tonight that Ventura may have had a small tornado touch down this afternoon. Gawd! Now all we need is an earthquake.

That's funny...my daughter has been playing soccer for over 10 years and just finished up her college soccer career. Her part time college job is at a golf course and she can golf for free. Collegiate athlete and she can't hit a little golf ball. ;)
