IT'S HERE..............

Must admit I'm a bit disappointed it isn't more U.S. shows BUT I'M TRULY EXCITED FOR TIMMY'S U.K. FANS!!!!!!!!
Cynd - :iloveyou:  and I will never be able to thank you enough.

I don't quite know how I managed it, but thanks to your heads-up about the UK mini-tour I've managed to get a FRONT ROW seat for the London show.
I still can't believe my luck - and won't believe it till I have the ticket in my hand, though I've got the email confirmation.
The only problem is that the Cadogan Hall have a 'no cameras' policy and being on the front row it'll be impossible to take even a sneaky photo. :weep::weep: (I'm not greedy - just one little photo to prove that I did see Timothy B in person would be enough.)
So for the moment I think this is the best smilie to describe me - :thud:

And, yes, I promise to make lots and lots of notes and tell you ALL about it.

How great that you will all be able to meet and all sitting in the front row. I remember what fun it was to meet Brooke at an Eagles concert in St. Louis. It's so great when you can put a face to a name.

I know. So cool. :) We only need Tim to come on stage and say 'I'd just like to say "Hi" to the Borderers' and I'll completely :faint:

(Also, thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts. What a party we'd have if you were all able to be on the front row with Toonlass and me. )

I wasn't sure if I was going to do this, because I'm still saving for my trip to the States in April to see the boys... but I am so close to London that I just couldn't resist! I've just booked two tickets to see this show. Row B in the stalls! My Mum's tagging along so that will be cool (she has a bit of a soft spot for Tim!) I'm really excited. :yay:

I wont repeat what I just said on facebook -but you know how glad I am that you are getting this chance. I think it's wonderful that he is actually playing a 900 seat venue and I hope every seat is filled. I am, however, very glad that I got the chance to see him in such an intimate setting in Chicago. Hope they allow cameras and can't wait to hear all about it!!! ENJOY!!!

Not a chance. :enraged: :cuss: :censored: :machinegun: (Plus a few more!)
From the FAQ of the Cadogan Hall:
"Can I film the performance?
No. Cameras, video recorders, or indeed any recording devices (audio or visual) are strictly prohibited. Please ensure all mobile phones and pagers are switched off during the performance."

Personally I think it should be up to the individual performer to say whether cameras are permitted (I think I would perhaps agree with video recorders being banned). I remember years ago reading 'no cameras' at the Royal Albert Hall, so never took mine. I was so near the stage (almost touching distance, though at the side) so I would have got some great photos, because it seemed that almost every other person had taken their cameras.
Boy, was I cross.
I would agree that flash photography is perhaps a little off-putting, but if a performer said 'please no photos while I'm singing - I'll give you a photo opportunity later' most people would be good and wait. Wonder if a nice email to Tim might work? :)

We have had the same thing happen at an Eagles concert - the ticket stated no photos allowed but then Glenn announced that it was okay to take pictures.

However, I just don't like being bothered with a camera at a concert. For me, it takes away from the attention I want to give the performance. I'll leave the picture-taking for others.

02-18-2010, 12:57 PM
Thanks for the glimmer of hope PM. I don't want to take hundreds of photos - and definitely none during a song. Just a couple to remind me of what I'm sure will be a memorable evening. :) And depending on when, if, and where, the Eagles ever play the UK again, possibly my only chance of seeing Tim. :weep:

I'm looking into going. Flights from Dublin to London would only cost all of €20 (all-in!!) for Laura and myself if we were prepared to travel early both mornings and the tickets aren't unreasonably priced either. AND the schools are closed that week as well.

Sounds like a hot concert in a pretty good-sized venue! It's great so many Borderers are trying to be there! And I would try to smuggle a camera in...the worst that could happen is they make you put it back. I bet Tim will allow the pix...he didn't mind at all here at our shows, as long as there was no flash.

I told Lou this morning, yesterday while Larry & I were out for breakfast, he said something about the date and it all of a sudden dawned on me that it was exactly a week before Tim would be in London and she would be seeing him. I told Larry that a week from today, I will hopefully be getting some kind of message direct from London! Not missing a beat, he asked which Eagle would be there and who from here would be going? :hilarious:
