According to this article that luvthelighthouse found, both this show and the Hershey, PA. show scheduled for June 15th have both been canceled. No reason was given, but that makes three of the shows with Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks now canceled. The Washington D.C. show was canceled several weeks ago. I wonder if it is because of poor ticket sales. In the case of the D.C. show, the show in Raleigh N.C. was scheduled on the same date sans Keith and Chicks. Hmmm ...

It is probably unwise to speculate, but the band did not need to tour with two other acts. Simple as that.

Well you may have a very good point there, FP. Of course, I don't know if the reason for these cancellations is poor ticket sales or not, and we will probably never know if that is the case. It could be for an entirely different reason altogether. But, it is a mystery since they sure aren't cancelling their shows where they are appearing solo.

Found this on a Jimmy Buffett website. So...is this accurate or just saving face about poor ticket sales?

The Eagles Cancel Shows, Reports Say Bass Player Ill

Eagles,_TheThe Eagles have scrapped two upcoming stadium shows with Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks amid reports bass player Timothy B. Schmit is ill.

The classic rockers have refused to offer a reason for the cancellations in Pennsylvania on June 14 and 15, but the band has only just returned to the road after scrapping a string of shows to allow bassist Timothy B. Schmit to recover from unexpected surgery.

The group cancelled a handful of concerts when Schmit fell ill. He underwent surgery on May 14.

Performing at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado on Thursday night, Schmit took a moment to acknowledge a friend in the audience, coyly revealing, "He's partially responsible for me being here tonight."

He then dedicated Love Will Keep Us Alive to Poco star Richie Furay.

Give me a break!!! http://bestsmileys.com/angry2/1.gif Are they serious? I just don't see how they can say the Eagles "scrapped" a string of shows when they all have been rescheduled and the current tour continues on now. So they figure he's going to need the rest in 3 weeks from the surgery instead of now!!!

I actually figured that we would start seeing crap like this and I actually figured it would of been sooner.http://bestsmileys.com/angry2/6.gif
