Took hubby (Ditka) for a very belated birthday present last night to see his 2nd favorite band AC/DC. The show was rescheduled from last year due to one of the band members having a health issue.

Highlights:

*The "Jack Cam". The cameras panned the crowd zeroing in on the sluttiest looking women (generally the ones with a beer in one hand and showing waaay too much boobage), while the crowd/band sang "She's Got the Jack!!!" Someone explain to me why these women looked thrilled to have 15,000 people singing about them being easy and virus ridden!

*The 50 foot blow up doll that appeared during the encore...aka..."Whole Lotta Rosie!"

*Angus in his schoolboy uniform!

*Brian Johnson as a human pendulum swinging from an enormous "Hell's Bell"!

*Not caring if I'm too old or too much someone's mom to sing/yell "Oi, oi, oi!", "An-gus!! An-gus!!" and "I'm on a highway to hell!"

*My hears only rang until around noon today!

Lowlights:

*Angus doing a striptease during "The Jack", bumping and grinding his way down to a pair of AC/DC boxer shorts.

*Not needing a big screen to be able count every one of Angus' ribs. Good grief, man!!! Eat something!!

*The guy behind us who attended the concert with who I presume was his 9 or 10 year old son. The entire concert the guy rolled and lit one doobie after another.

*Standing on line at the concession stand for 20 minutes so Ditka could get a shirt. Then Ditka deciding that he should have gotten a bigger size, so we got back in the same stupid line for another 20 minutes.

*Ditka insinuating that I was too old to buy a pair of red, neon, flashing devil horns.

I just saw 'em last two nights ago in Milwaukee. Some idiot was passing around a joint in the row ahead of me too. Hahaha

Seriously though, NO ONE rocks harder than those boys.

On April 13th, 2010.........In Louisville, Ky.............at Freedom Hall...

AC/DC Rocked My World!

Angus Young is d'MAN!

Yes, I got to see one of those rescheduled shows from last fall that
were postponed. And I'm really glad I did. It was awesome. It was rock
and roll the way God meant it to be.....non-stop guitar riffs and loud as
hell. Just the way I like it. Lead guitarist Angus Young, 55, is a madman
and fun to watch. Together with his brother, Malcolm, they provide you
with wall to wall riffage. Ain't no stinkin' acoustic guitars on this stage.
Raspy-voiced lead singer, Brian Johnson, wouldn't win an American Idol
competition, but is part of that distinctive AC/DC sound. I think he's 61
years old. But, Let me tell you, they can still rock. If you haven't seen
this band, hurry up and do it before they hang it up for good. You won't
be disappointed.

Set List:

1) Rock n Roll Train
2) Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be
3) Back in Black
4) Big Jack
5) Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
6) Shot Down in Flames
7) Thunderstruck
8) Black Ice
9) The Jack
10) Hells Bells
11) Shoot to Thrill
12) War Machine
13) High Voltage
14) You Shook Me All Night Long
15) TNT
16) Whole Lotta Rosie
17) Let There Be Rock
18) Highway to Hell
19) For Those About to Rock

You're welcome, everyone. I think it's great to try to sneak a
few photos in during a concert to relive the memories later. Most
of the credit goes to my wife, who takes most of the pics.

AC/DC has hooked up with Iron Man 2 to provide some of the soundtrack.
The following link is to the new AC/DC Iron Man 2 "Shoot to Thrill" video.
It's an Iron Man 2 movie trailer spliced together with concert footage of
a recent AC/DC show in South America. It's just a little sample of what we
experienced on April 13th in Louisville. It's worth a look....so turn up the
volume!

Saw these guys for the first time last year in Chicago. GREAT concert! Brian Johnson is my favorite singer of AC/DC but I give full respect to Bon Scott, he was an amazing rock singer as well. I really love Angus's guitar playing and riffs. Very simple, yet very catchy guitar riffs. And coming from another guitarist, that isn't easy to achieve. Simple, yet good catchy riffs are not easy to come by. Also like Malcolm's rhythm guitar work.

OHHHHH how do I love this band? LOL. My favourite time period of theirs was when Bon Scott was with them. He was just the perfect frontman for them. LOL I have no idea what my favvie song would be from them. There are way too many hits.

Phil Rudd was charged in New Zealand for attempting to hire someone to murder two people.

I about lost it when I saw it in my Twitter feed......

WTF? Meth and hiring a hitman?! I'm more mad than sad right now.

They said in a release that they will find a new drummer. I hope they bring back Chris Slade. He was on the Donnington DVD.

So basically on the new tour the only one left original to the band will be Angus himself.

Contrary to popular belief, Cliff the bassist was NOT original and on the first few records.

The hiring a hitman charge was dropped, still got him for drugs though. You can tell by his photos that it's clear he's on meth....what a shame.

Wow - This is very sad. It's this kind of rock and roll drama that makes the issues the Eagles had seem pale in comparison.

Yes, the attempt to hire for murder charge has been dropped. The drug charge and the threatening to kill charges are still there.
