Peter Lopez, according to Yahoo News killed himself today. They said he was one of the attorneys for the Eagles and was married to Catherine Bach who played Daisy Duke in the Dukes of Hazzard TV series. I think I remember Don Henley talked about him in an interview once. He was at a meeting when the Eagles were trying to reform. What a terrible thing for his family. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_actress_husband_death

I'll have to come back and read this when I have more time. It's very sad news.

dreamer and/or soda would know this off the top of their heads, but I believe, at least at one time, he was Glenn's manager (during the solo stuff).

My heart goes out to those he left behind. Suicide is eternal anguish for anyone who loved him.

He was indeed Glenn's personal manager in the nineties and the two formed the short-lived Mission Records together in 1998; I believe they were not only business associates, but friends.

Terribly sad.

This is terribly sad. I didn't know that Peter was married to Catherine Bach until I read this thread. My heart goes out to all of his friends and family.

As Soda said, there was a point where he was Glenn's manager. He is listed as such in the credits on the 1992 'Strange Weather' album. According to Don in the HFO interview, it was Peter and Glenn and Don and Irving that met for lunch in Aspen in February 1994 and agreed to the resumption. So he was, indeed, an important part of Eagles' history.

RIP, Peter.

Yeah, this is really sad. I remember Don mentioning his name in the HFO interview. I hadn't heard the news at the time so I didn't make the connection, but at the first Eagles show we went to in San Jose, Glenn dedicated No More Cloudy Days to "our friend Peter".
