Looking at the thread of the ultimate Randy Collection, I thought I should compile my ultimate Bernie Collection. Although known primarily for his guitar and multi-instrumentation, these are songs which he sings lead vocals that span his entire career. It’s a mellow affair, but one with a lot of soul (much like Bernie). I’m calling it:

Journey of the Sorcerer: The Best of Bernie Leadon

God’s Own Singer - Flying Burrito Brothers
Lodi - Flying Burrito Brothers
Lazy Days (Live at the Fillmore East, 1970) - Flying Burrito Brothers
Train Leaves Here This Morning - Eagles
Earlybird - Eagles
Twenty-One - Eagles
Bitter Creek - Eagles
My Man - Eagles
Journey of the Sorcerer - Eagles
I Wish You Peace - Eagles
How Can You Live Without Love? – Bernie Leadon/ Michael Georgiades Band
As Time Goes On – Bernie Leadon/ Michael Georgiades Band
River of Jordan -Ever Call Ready
God Loves His Children - Ever Call Ready
Corduroy Road - Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Volcano - solo
What Do I Own - solo
Rich Life - solo

Along the lines of my Randy choices, I'll keep this to 17 songs:

Flying Burrito Brothers
Lazy Days (Live 1970) <--- yes I shamelessly stole this idea from GTLO

Eagles
Train Leaves Here This Morning
Earlybird (Live 1973)<--- live version better features awesome solo at end
Twenty-one
Bitter Creek
My Man
Journey of the Sorcerer
I Wish You Peace
(yes, I realize this is his entire Eagles catalog, but it's GOOD)

Ever Call Ready
God Loves His Children
Rule Over My Soul
River of Jordan

Solo (or sorta solo with Georgiades)
As Time Goes On
The Sparrow
Hollywood Waltz (solo live version)
Everybody Want
Rich Life
Backup Plan

There was a video of it on YouTube from a solo show he did in Japan but it got taken down. I went so far as to contact the uploader to ask if he/she would trade with me for the bootleg but never heard back. It sounded quite different from the Eagles version!
