I called FS right after reading your post and they confirmed the Tweet. As the Tweet said-no details yet. Anyway, I live 90 miles due west so of course I'll be there.

Henley played there a couple of years ago. Security was super friendly and let anyone and everyone go to the stage. No prob. :partytime: Next time I went, for a Stevie Nicks show, things had changed. Security was uber-tight and has been for every show since then. Also, note the first 8 rows or so of the center section is for tribal members only and they rope it off.

Last time Henley was there they did let non-tribal members sit in that section but they had to buy a special VIP package. I have no idea what rows they got though. I just remember some Eagle fan I met at the Nokia 2007 shows telling me that she did the VIP package there and she got center section that way. I don't think she got first row though.

Here is the low-down.

Ticket Prices: $109-$59
On Sale: 10:00 a.m. PST; June 18th
Special Packages: Beware, as expected, they are in the center section but start at the 11th row.

Well, as I said before I'm definitely going and will probably buy my tickets at the box office next Friday. I am officially on summer vacation as of 11:30 a.m. today. I plan on driving out to the casino and hitting the buffet and slots after picking up my tix at the box office. Hopefully that way I can get a better seat than on-line. Wish me luck!

I know I shot vids the last time he played there. I'm going to go through my files and see what I can dig up. I'll post them if I can find them.

I plan on taking the day off and going out early. Last time he played Fantasy Springs I didn't and got caught in a traffic jam. By the time I got to my seat the concert had already started.

I wish I were able to go to one of Don's shows this time around. Can't wait to hear all about it. I'm anxious to see if he plays the same set list that he did for his solo shows last year.

"On a dark desert highway-cool wind in my hair-warm smell of colitas-rising up through the air.." is what this SoCalGal will be singing twenty-four hours from now, as I wend my way home from Henley's Fantasy Springs concert with my car's roof open, "a million stars over-head" and the sound of his "amplifers still ringing in my ears." (Seger)

I'm leaving super early as it's been super hot (105-106 degrees) in Indio the past couple of days. It gets so hot in the Springs area, that it often forces you to chose between using your air conditioner or blowing out your car's radiator. I figure if I leave at 9:00 a.m. I can get to Indio by 10:20 a.m. or there-abouts and can hang out at the casino without worring about whether or not I should turn the air off or on. The temp should only be around 85 or 90 degrees at that time. No probs.

I'm sure I can find lots of things to do once I get there besides gambling (which I don't do) and pigging-out at the buffet (which I won't do :fingerwag:-I've been on a health kick lately and I've managed to lose an entire pants size with two more to go.) I'm bringing my lap-top and a couple of DVDs just in case there is no free WiFi. Indio is in the boonies so I'm taking nothing for granted.

Might even try to sneak into the sound check or who knows Henley may decide to chill-out at the pool over a long tall cool one and we can knock back a couple of Coors light or two or three :cheers:while "swapping lies."

Anyway stay tuned-lots to follow. I'm desert bound and down.

Hi All!

So far staying on schedule. Plan on leaving in about 2 1/2 hours. It's only 73 degrees right now in Indio-yeah!

Kindda nice playing hookey from work. I had a 4th grade class from hell yesterday-the librarian even kicked them out of the library. Everyone was also coughing and sneezing all over the place. If anyone teaches elementary school then you know they never cover their mouths and/or noses. A couple sounded as if they had emphysema. I half expected to wake up with a full-blown cold this morning but so far so good!:partytime:The Gods are with me.
