That what this guy thinks, and he illustrates it on YouTube:

I don't know. I see the resemblance between the sax line in "You Belong to the City" and the chorus of "Poker Face" (which starts at about 1:01 in this video), but I think it's just coincidence.

There is a vague similarity, and that's all, in my opinion.

I definitely hear it but I'm with you guys--I doubt it was intentional.

Only because it's been pointed out to me, I hear a very vague similarity. However what this video really does for me is reaffirm my dislike of Lady Gaga's music.

I don't see the resemblance. Just someone else trying to hate on Gaga.

I with you, Pm.

Really, she has a great voice, but as for the rest......not my cup of tea.

Yeah! There is a similarity..... but it is probably coincidental. I don't think there's enough of it to be intentional. Still you never know. I'm not really a Gaga fan and am not very familiar with her music anyway.

I hear the similarity...actually it's been bugging me for months trying to figure out what the chorus is a rip off of....While it might be YBTTC, I hear a much closer resemblance to "Where are you" by Natalie. The chorus from that song and "poker face" is nearly identical.

This is the three-note "lick" that I mentioned in another thread, that can be heard in YBTtC, "Boys of summer" and hundreds of other songs especially from the 80's. If the song is in E minor, the notes are g, f sharp, and d. Different variations of those three notes against a minor chord have been used, and sometimes even the exact same thing. In "Powers that be" by Roger Waters those three notes are played with exactly the same rhythm as in "Boys of summer". In Roger's song the melody appears for the first time at 0:52:

Those notes have been used to death, so in my opinion there's no way that Lady Ga Ga can be accused for ripping off YBTtC at this point. The notes are not even used in an identical way. In YBTtC the melody starts on the beat, in "Poker face" it starts on the off-beat.

Another variation of those three notes against a minor chord; right at the beginning of the song:
