Anybody on here a Mason Proffit fan? I recently got into them and bought all their albums. They are great country rock. Supposedly their anthem "Two Hangmen" influenced the form of the Eagles "Hotel California". They were more into social commentary than the Eagles. I've also heard a rumor that the leaders of Mason Proffit, Terry and John Talbot were offered a spot in the Eagles after Bernie Leadon quit. To try them out download Come & Gone, which is a compilation of their first two albums, Wanted and Moving Toward Happiness. I personally prefer them to the Eagles. They should have made it big but broke up after 3 albums on small labels and 2 albums and a compilation (Come & Gone) on Warner.
