Teena Marie Dies at Age 54

R&B singer Teena Marie was found dead in her home by her daughter yesterday at the age of 54. The cause of her death is unknown, but appears to be of natural causes. She apparently suffered a severe seizure in November, but there is no indication that her death is related to that. I just loved her 80's hit 'Lovergirl'. This is very sad and my heart goes out to her daughter, as well as, her other family and loved ones.

I have never heard Teena Marie's music, but I felt sad reading that. My prayers are with her family, friends and fans.

OMG---I hadn't heard this!! Unbelievable. She was one that was discovered by Rick James who also lost his life way to young. What a shame.

She was from SoCal and one of the press releases out here following her death said that she was addicted to prescription drugs at one time. Maybe she fell off the wagon as often happens.
