Wonder where else in Sweden they are going to. Sundsvall is way north. :eyebrow:
I have friends in Stockholm, Linkoping, Malmo and Gothenburg. Maybe I could manage a visit. Better still I can offer to be translator for the guys ;), although my Swedish is a bit rusty.

Our holidays are booked from the 19th July, so I HOPE it'll be before then. Early July like 2009 would just be perfect!

Absolutely!

3 years ago they announced London dated for the O2 on 14th January and the gigs were played in late March (20th onwards). I'm sure there's every possibility of even 1 or 2 UK/Irl dates. I'm deliberately passing up on any other gigs in the hope of having some €'s for if the DO pass by!

Annabel

Good to hear that the announcement and then actual concert were that close together. :partytime: I haven't given up hope yet. :D

Yep - I'm looking forward to it too. For some reason, it seems like it's been such a long time since they toured even though I know it really hasn't been. I'd be surprised if there are any changes in the setlist, although you never know - it may be a good time to test out a few new things.

If I've done the math correctly (1:40 EST + 6 Hrs), its about half an hour till show time! Audience must be filling up. Fans must be SO excited. Wish I was there! I'm going to find set list from last show & play it song for song and pretend I'm there. How sick is that??
Can't wait for some reviews and pics too!!

"They probably just thought it was a group of English-speaking old age pensioners on holiday,”

Too funny!

sodascouts
06-09-2011, 05:26 PM
That "pensioners" joke was a bit ungrateful considering they got a free meal out of it, if you ask me!

But it was very cool - and very rock star - that the Eagles made such a gesture. Love it!

Among the food rules are that all food served to the band must be healthy, because the Eagles are trying to think of their health.

"Healthy" like what? Even ice cream has calcium. ;) Is there like a calorie limit? Fat gram limit? Is the appearance of chocolate fudge in someone's dressing room grounds for firing? Hmm, let's see, how about a funnel cake? That food item really has no redeeming factors except for deliciousness. Funnel cake - there's some hardcore contraband for ya!

All dressing rooms must be full of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as freshly baked bread. It is important for the hard boiled eggs in each dressing room to be cold and have no cracks in their shells. The grapes must be so fresh that none fall off the bunch when they are shaken.
First off, I appreciate they're taking care of themselves, so good for them. However, oh my gosh, the grape rule is hilarious. Who's in charge of shaking the grapes to make sure they're up to snuff? lol!

Henley Honey

I don't know who's in charge of shaking the grapes, but I'll volunteer for the job!! That's not all I'd shake for them!:partytime:

Note to self: If Eagles ever come to my house, do NOT serve hard boiled eggs because I can't boil an egg without cracking the shell.

The thing that caught me about the food article was that they were all together! :grouphug: They usually go it alone from what I understand. Not a lot of group outings. I think the whole "food demands" is hilarious! Although, having some fresh bread does sound nice...

My mental image was 'Will relaxing in his hotel room while I fed him grapes' :censored:(after they've been shaken, of course) - although I'm not sure the band would get the same luxuries as the Eagles do. Hell, I'll bring my own grapes!!

Can you imagine being the person chastised for sending grapes that had fallen from the bunch? :fear:

Grounds for dismissal from employment surely :hilarious:

Try going to your local supermarket & complaining to the manager if their grapes are not up to 'Eagles' standard!:hmm:
