RIP Jack. I'm sure everyone knows of this guy!! What a healthy man he was and it proved to be good for longevity for him apparently.

I learned how to do jumping jacks from Jack LaLanne, not that it did me a world of good, but I will miss him. God Bless and RIP Jack.

You're right TBF, the man didn't reach 96 by not livin' right! RIP.

"I have not only lost my husband and a great American icon, but the best friend and most loving partner anyone could ever hope for," Elaine LaLanne (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Elaine+LaLanne) said in a statement. The two had been married for 51 years.

So there is a chance Hubby and I can reach 50 years of marriage! We just have to live into our 90's!

RIP indeed! I'm not familiar with this man but he sure seems to have lived a long and healthy life. His wife's comment is a wonderful tribute to him.

I used to watch his television show--when it was reruns--I'd watch it early-bird time in the morning, if I was awake! I think he had influence on many young generations, because he showcased exercise so many years back before the fitness boom. He may have been one of the earliest to demonstrate that exercise is a healthy choice.
