I'd like to go to this one - I could combine it with a trip to see my brother who is on the way (and would probably put me up for the night). Checked out the prices however and the tickets are $245 for a up front seat with dinner. Ouch.

I'll let you know how dinner is....or not. I probably won't eat because I'll be too afraid I'll spill on myself.

I got on TM @ 10:00, but it said I needed a password. After trying some and not getting anywhere, I finally gave up & went over to StubHub. They had a pair. I found out they finally took the password restriction off & someone else got good seats. I couldn't find anything I liked, so I went back to StubHub and bought them. They are Row A (row 1) Seats 26 & 27. I'm a Row 1 virgin. I'm going to feel really self-conscious when I get up to dance.

I will be a little disappointed if his special guest is country and his whole show is country, especially if it means he's taking Everybody Wants to Rule the World out of the set. I hope it's not some twangy chick, or guy, for that matter. On the oher hand, if it's Stevie (is she still touring then?) I would probably scream when they sang Leather & Lace. That's my dream Don Henley concert.

Being a big country music fan I wouldn't mind a more country oriented show however I am definitely not in favor if it means losing his more "rockin" songs. As for his special guest I was thinking along the lines of Jackson Browne since Don just popped up in one of his shows recently - time to return the favor right?

1st---how in the h*ll did I miss that Don showed up at a Jackson show? I try to check out the Jackson thread often because so many here have been seeing him lately. I need to go back there and scan it better.

2nd---$245.00 for a freakin' ticket? Seriously? I'm sorry if I offend anyone but that is absolutely, without a doubt RIDICULOUS for a ticket to see ANYONE!!! Insane!! I can see I will NOT be seeing Mr. Henley any time soon.

Well, don't feel bad Willie cause I missed it too. :headscratch:

And yes, those prices are ridiculous!

Congratulations on your front row tickets, Judy! I'm very happy for you and hope that it will be the experience of a lifetime for you.

I'd love to see Don solo again but I'm afraid that I'm going to have to pass on the dates that have been announced so far. Those ticket prices are even higher than an Eagles show and it does seem odd that they would be charging so much for these shows. I mean, there's not even a meet and greet as far as I can tell - must be some pretty upscale venues.

I do wish more of us could go to these shows - if only he'd venture a little further across America! Jess and I are lucky he's coming to Tulsa, as it seems otherwise, it's California all the way.

I am going! I can't wait! But first I get to see Don at The Mountain Winery on 9/21! For Murphy's I have 3rd row. One day I hope to be in the first row, but I will enjoy the 3rd row this time.

Enjoy every moment of the build up HF, and treasure the gig. The others are right. It goes by so quick. I'd give anything to turn my clock back to this time 2 weeks ago when I was just about to set out to my gigs. Ooooh the anticipation, the butterflies, the thrills. To die for.......

Cool Henleyfan! We'll have to try to find each other at Murphys. I'll be the one in the front row just off center with the $h!t eating grin on my face. I'm excited for the first reviews to start rolling in. I should call Murphys and see if they know who the "special guest" is.

When I went to see Don in Atlantic City in 2007 I met a bunch of Don/Eagles fans. One of the people I sat next to at that concert was a woman named Karyn from Hawaii. Some of you on here know her. I wanted to go to the concert with someone I knew was going to enjoy it as much as I, so I offered her my other ticket. We're both flying into Sacramento that Friday & we both leave Sunday so I have to drive back to Sac. (2 hrs.) right after the concert. We'll be all excited about the concert so I won't be ready to crash until we get back to Sac. anyway. The only other people I know of that are going to be at the concert are Lisa & Melissa from the Fastlane. They've got 3rd row near center so maybe you'll meet them, Henleyfan.

School is kicking my butt this semester for some reaon. I can't get focused. I'm letting too many other things distract me, and the concert is not even one of them. I still haven't had a chance to read the Glenn concert thread. I haven't even been keeping up on the Don threads.

Now it's only 21 days to Don!!!

The article states that the "special guest" will be Shana Morrison.

Judy, I was waiting for that song too but he didn't sing it at the Moutain Winery concert. Maybe he will this time. The setlist for the concert at the Greek had 4 songs that he didn't do at the Mountain Winery. I also wanted to have him sing I put a Spell on You. Either way it will be an awesome concert!

Shoot, I hope he brings back "I've Been Lovin' You Too Long." That's a great song. Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham did a really hot duet on it one time and I'd love to hear Don's take on it. I've been lucky enough to hear "I Put a Spell on You" before, so I won't miss that one as much - however, I'd still like to hear the entire setlist from the Greek. I especially hope he pulls out "I Will Not Go Quietly" which always brings the house down. More songs = happier fans!

I hope the casinos aren't giving him a hard time about curfews. Let the man do what he wants. He's Don Freakin' Henley and we're paying major buckage!

HERE HERE!!!! The casinos might be better because they are inside so the noise shouldn't be a problem.

Well I hope you all get value for your money too! I mean no concert is ever long enouigh for us, but I hope too that he gets a decent amount of time, and also that you all get to hear the songs that you want to hear.

I'd love to see Don live too, but this year..... I can't complain. I had my moments last month in Fallsview :)

True, but casinos also want to get you back on the floor and gambling, so they often set a time limit for the artist. Of course, not all of his shows are at casinos, so I hope the casinos get the same setlist as the shows elsewhere because I happen to be seeing him at one!

Well, I had planned to go to this concert. I even bought a ticket several months ago when I was just sure I would find work before too much longer. However that hasn't been the case and unfortunately I simply can not justify spending any more money to actually make the trip down. I am pretty bummed but that's life... :worried:

Hope you ladies who are going have a great time! Sorry I won't get a chance to meet you but I look forward to hearing all about the show.

Going was just not a reasonable or responsible thing to do. It was way more money than I could afford. By the time I rented a car, paid for gas, hotels, food, and boarding my dog for the weekend it would have cost me another $350 at least and that is half my mortgage or my food budget for 3 months.... I am barely keeping my head above water these days and it would have been foolish no matter how much I wanted to do it.

I wish I could find a permanent job too and I am getting more and more afraid I never will. I am headed back to the temporary holiday job I have had the last couple of years (at least they seem to think I am employable) but I am still hoping against hope that someone out there will pick me out of the hoards that apply for every opening...

Oh sorry Judy, I just saw this post! We were in row 3 seats 15 and 16. I kept looking at the 1st row to see if maybe something would give me an idea of where you were. What was your seat? There was someone in the 1st row that was standing most of the time and looking so happy. I was wondering if that was you.

I hope you enjoyed the concert. I thought he was awesome, of course! Sorry we didn't get to meet.
