Thanks Judy! Ah, Monaco... it's so ... RICH.

When Glenn does that In Charge stuff I just melt. You hear him at the end saying to Albert 'I was talking to your secretary'.

The guitar is inscribed 'to the Prince & Princess... Love will keep us alive'!

Thanks Judy and Koala for the videos and photos. They are great as always.

BTW - I'm loving Glenn's new black and white shirt on stage, but not so much with the tie and jacket!

So was this a scheduled concert or a private one for the prince?

My DH pays attention after all and on our drive home from Hop Farm festival told me that the Eagles were mentioned in an article in a paper he rescued on the train. He didn't have the paper but told me which paper it was. Not much in detail and more about the Prince and his now Princess. Thought I'd post it here anyway.

Huh? :headscratch: What's with this interpretation of this photo?

Prince Albert, Charlene Wittstock: Eagles Intervention in Photo

Life in the fast lane: Here’s the picture sent out officially from the Monaco royal wedding of The Eagles with Prince Albert and his now bride Charlene Wittstock. You’ll notice Don Henley and Glenn Frey, who cowrote most of the Eagles hits but now rarely speak to each other, flanking the royal couple. (I love the sideways look on Timothy B. Schmidt‘s face, he’s on the far left. Get me the f outta here.) Thank god for Prince Albert. He and his new wife have kept an international incident from occurring. Already they’re helping the world. And yes, the Eagles did play (or are playing) for the royal couple and their guests, but not for free, my dears. Legendary rock acts command $1 million and up for private gigs, and this would seem to be the top one of the season.

I hate to tell you this, Willie, but one reviewer called him Bruce Schmit :brickwall:!

Poor Tim - his name's not even tricky! Why journalists can't take the time to make sure they have spelled his name correctly is beyond me.

Most of these guys do their research via the internet. That journalist probably found a site where someone stated that the Eagles bassist's full name was "Timothy Bruce Schmidt" and, as he was undoubtedly only skimming over it very quickly, only saw the latter two names and didn't double-check spelling.

I'd forgotten Tim's middle name is Bruce. I still maintain he looks nothing like one! Thank goodness it's tucked away behind Timothy...

That kind of lazy journalism drives me crazy.

Oh yes, don't get me started on lazy journalists!! Grrrr.

Appreciate the opportunity you have to write a review or conduct an interview and do some freaking prep work!!! :tonguewag:
