New Glenn Forum Moderator

We've made a change today - the Glenn forum has gotten a new moderator.

Our dear friend Kate (glenneaglesfan), who has always been a valued member of this board since it began as Flip City, can only visit the board once in a while due to things going on in her life. As a result, I finally - after much thought - decided we needed an active member to moderate, and I've found one who I know everyone will support.... Lisa (Glennsallnighter)!

GA has been active on this board since she joined years ago and has always been a fun, intelligent, and even-handed poster - just the type of person that makes a good moderator.

Well, all I can say here is that I was absolutely flabbergasted to be invited by Nancy to become a Moderator, and was indeed honoured to accept. I just hope I'll do a good job for everybody here and be as fair as I can to all. I also hope that I'll be able to give something back to the Board that has given me so much in so many ways over the last 4 and a half years.

I was also humbled by all the compliments that Nancy and other Borderers made about me. I doubt they are all justified! But thanks anyway. I love you all :grouphug:

Let me just say too that Kate was the first Borderer to be in contact with me as I joined early February 2007 - Nancy and co being in Pebble Beach at the time. I have always valued Kate as a dear friend and was delighted to meet up with her in London in 2008. I hope she will continue to be able to drop in when she can.

Once again, thanks to all of you, my dear friends, for your messages of congratulation and support both on and off the Border. I've been moved to tears by some of the compliments that have flooded in over the past week. It really is humbling to be held in such esteem, and while I was certainly friends with a good number of you, I had no idea of the regard people seem to have for me. Quite frankly, I'm not used to this at all. I just hope I can do a good job here and help keep the Border a happy fun place where we can all post in confidence about the things we hold dearest.
