I thought it would be self-indulgent of me to post one of those; I was extremely, and I mean extremely lucky, to get any photos at all. What I would have given to have taken some photos of him standing there just singing. Please Glenn, if you tour next year, don't just play casinos. Play venues where photos can be taken.

Believe it or not, all I did was create collages in Photobucket. I'm proud of the pages I made, so I may as well post them all, although they are big. I haven't decided which pages will go with which months yet.

You have created a network of Eagles sites that you can be very proud of. CONGRATULATIONS to both of you on reaching your respective milestones.

Nancy, as the others have already said, and I echo, thank you so much for setting up and maintaining this wonderful website and message board. It was a leap of faith to make the Border public all those years ago and I have been a big beneficiary of that decision. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into running it. Nothing is too much trouble for you - It was such a wonderful privilidge to finally meet up with you and the other Borderers who made it to Fallsville earlier this year. I sincerely hope we have the chance to do it all over again.

And Julie, you have to be one of the most devoted and knowledgeable Eagles /Glenn :heart: fans that I know of. Your devotion and dedication to the band over a now 32 year period (today.... am I right?) is second to none. As with Nancy, I was thrilled to get the chance to finally meet up you at Glenn :heart:s gig at Niagara Falls.

Here's to another 32 years at least and another 28,000 posts.... at least!

Thanks to everyone who posted those best wishes. Yes, it was '32 years ago today' (my time, that is) October 2, 1979.

As far as being the first Borderer after Soda herself all I can say is that it was & remains a privilege. I hope I have contributed in some way. August, though, was the culmination of many dreams & wishes. It was quite extraordinary.

WOW--I haven't gotten into the photo threads for awhile (well, except 1) and I can't believe what I've missed here.

First a HUGE congratulation from me to both Soda of her 17,000 post and Freypower and her 11,000. What milestones. I can't say much more than what everyone else here has but I do want to thank you, Soda, for starting and staying with this. It couldn't have been easy at times with everything else that real life will sometimes throw at you. I know it may sound strange, but I cannot imagine not having this board to look at almost on a daily basis. And FP--thanks for all your knowledge you are so willing to share with all of us here. It wouldn't be the same without you.

I don't mind photos of 70s Glenn but I normally don't post them myself, not the pre 1979 ones, because it all started in 1979 for me. The ones above are all very nice (the first one is the 'Frank Zappa Photo'.

This one is probably my favourite long hair photo. When he had long hair, the moustache suited him.

He's not too shabby in any other decade, but boy oh boy, he was smokin hot handsome then.

I prefer Glenn when he has a little more meat on his bones and a little less hair (although I do like it to be long enough to curl at the nape of his neck; if you've got a good head of hair, flaunt it). My fave era is HFO, as I have said before. However, Glenn exudes sensuality and passion no matter what era, especially when he's singing... and that is always gonna be HOT. I don't care if he's 60+; that natural, unaffected sensuality gives him the power to evoke responses from women to this day, and I imagine it always will. (Lucky Cindy!)

Well I went back and couldn't locate the very first Frey Fever thread that was on The Border. After searching, I think I remember that Soda deleted the thread for some reason, so I have no idea what the first picture was that I posted in Frey Fever. However, I went back to the oldest Frey Fever thread still here, which started in April, 2008 and here is the content of my very first post in that thread ...
