Laurence Juber & Denny Seiwell are former members of Wings. I didn't know either of them sang. Maybe they just play on the track. Interesting.

Sounds like a very interesting project and certainly a worthy cause!

I am having a hard time hearing Timothy do that song, but I'm sure he'll put his own spin on it.

I had forgotten all about this, but recently came across it on Spotify. Has anyone else listened to it? It's not bad, but nothing to write home about, IMHO.

Sister is on FB but it's not on the TBS page she's following. Do you have a link?

Here's one to the song, but I think it only works if you have Spotify:

I was able to listen to it (I have an account.) I don't know the song, but I sure like Timothy singing it. Its a good key for him, a little lower than usual, I guess? He sounds great. Gosh, I barely know any of the other artists on that album.

If you want to hear what it sounds like when Paul McCarney does it, there's a video on the previous page.

I don't have a Spotify account, so I can't hear Timothy's version.

Gosh, I had forgotten about this also. Just listened to it and, to be honest, if it wasn't Timothy, I wouldn't like it. I don't care much for all the ooh, oohs.

Does anyone know who Laurence Juber is who is also credited on the song? I'm off to Google him.

ETA: Oops--- he had been a member of Wings. I don't remember him but then other than Paul and Linda, the only Wings member I remember is Denny Lane.

Here's Laurence's Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurence_Juber

ETA Part II: Just listened to Paul's version-- I like it. Sorry Timothy! I feel somewhat disloyal in admitting I don't care much for his version.

OK, so I listened to Paul McCartney sing it, and then listened to Timothy's version again. I don't like those oooh ooohs either, but that's the song - TBS didn't write it, he's just paying tribute. On the verses, I think his voice sounds really cool - he is definitely channeling the way that Paul sings and phrases, you can tell he is trying to sing it like Paul does, while still keeping his own sound. The biggest problem here for me is I just don't like the song. Considering the song he was given (or he chose), I really like what Timothy did with it. It is totally Timmy voice, just a little different that his solo and Eagles stuff. I wish we had more songs to listen to where he covers someone else's songs. Like Caroline No - another weird song that he does wonders with.

Late reply :-) I also love Paul's version (this is one of my favorite songs from the "McCartney" album), and I am delighted with Timothy's version. He added some distinctive harmonies and made it more... Timothian? ;-)
