I'm looking at going to Agoura Hills.. just trying to figure out how to get from LA to Agoura Hills and hotels etc..

ETA: Just got my ticket for the Agoura Show! :)

TimFan you'll need to make dinner reservations too if you haven't done that already. I lucked out a couple of years ago for an REO Speedwagon show and was able to literally sit on the stage at Kevin Cronin's feet without making dinner reservations but that was a fluke and everyone was drunk on their arses. It was a wild night indeed. Otherwise you'll have to sit a booth in the back or along the sides at the bar. And, a car is a must.

Thanks Carol-lynn I know; I plan to call tommorow about dinner reservations.... :) and start booking hotels, flights etc..

The closest and easiest airport to get in and out of would be Bob Hope in Burbank. LAX may be cheaper but in the long run it's a nightmare to circumvent.:brickwall:

Good Luck! Hope to see you at the show!

Santa Cruz here I come:partytime: 30 minute drive over the hill for me. The only thing is I'll probably have to go alone. I've exhausted all family and friends with my Eagles addiction! Didn't see anything on the Rio website yet.

I want to go to the Portland show but it will be nearly impossible. Timothy couldn't have picked a worse week to do a show in Portland because that is "hell week" at Harry and David and I will be working 12 plus hour days every day. But if I can find any way humanly possible to swing it I will be there!

How exciting! Verry cool that he has announced more dates! Hope for all of Tim's fans at least a suitable date or city is present!

Got my dinner reservations confirmed at the Canyon! Still exploring options on how best to get there lol :) (as I don't drive, it is slightly more complicated).

I am getting very excited about this.. I know it won't live up to Schubas expeirence (that was a once in a lifetime event, as Timothy first solo endeavour and my being soo close to the stage, among other things) but it's still a very rare occurance and something I am going to enjoy throughly!

Then I'd look for a hotel close to the venue that will pick you up at the airport as SoCal doesn't have much in the way of mass transportation. I'd also suggest that you take a taxi rather than a bus to the venue from your hotel as the CC is situated in a suburban shopping plaza/business district along a rather dark two lane blacktop that runs parallel to the 101 Freeway. Not many shops in the plaza stay open after 10:00 p.m. so I wouldn't try walking to and from any bus stops-if there are any.

BTW Timmie's first solo endeavor was at the Largo here in L.A. on Oct. 14th-I was front row center and remember it like it was just yesterday because that was the first time I got to meet him and Kenny Wayne Shepard after the show in the theater lobby.

Never know. He might add a few dates before xmas but I'm guessing he'll want to spend xmas in SoCal with his family so if he adds another leg it'll be in January. So glad he's touring. I was hoping.

Carol-Lynn...any idea when the Portland tickets might be going on sale? I am probably going to buy a ticket and take my chances on being able to go...

WT Glad your gonna buy a ticket anyway.. and I hope you'll be able to go  I had a similar thought about buying a ticket for the Canyon Show.. buy the ticket and figure out the details later lol

In terms of the Portland show on sale date; have you tried calling the venue... they might know?

Wildthyme

Its not even listed on the venue site so I haven't considered calling them yet....I am keeping a close eye on things though...

My best guest-i-mate-probably by the end of next week.

I'll tell you one thing, he sure didn't give us much lead time when it came to the shows that did go on sale-like absolutely none. Good thing they were GA. I was first to make reservations for San Juan and 2nd for Agoura Hills and both venues promised me great center section up-front seats. We'll see the night of. Know what I'm saying. But anyway, I'd buy the ticket when they go on sale especially if it is assigned seating. Things have a way of working out if it was meant to be. BTW Tickets seem to be capping out at $30-but I'm sure you know that.

I just sent an e-mail to Julie asking her for on-sale dates for Solana Beach and Portland. I also asked her if he plans on doing any M&Gs. Hopefully she's still doing PR for him and her e-mail addie hasn't changed in the past two years. I'll be watching my e-mails for the mail daemon. Hope it doesn't show up. I might also e-mail his 2009 Expando tour manager but I'll wait hear what Julie or the mail daemon have to say first.

If I hear of anything I'll definitely post it.:computer:

Its the same venue that he played at two years ago and it was GA then so I expect it will be the same. Rhonda and I will just have to get there extra early like last time. Only this time I hope we aren't in the middle of a deep freeze. I was pretty sure I might have to sacrifice some fingers and toes after standing outside in line for 45 minutes. What we go through for our boys...

Cami-True dat!:hilarious: Anyway good to hear it's GA. Not good to know it gets so cold in Portland. The coldest I think it ever got here was maybe 29 degrees for about a minute but we do get some fierce fog along the coast that time of the year and two of Timmie's SoCal shows are along the coast.

As a rule I will not go if it's GA but for Timmie-yes-considering the tickets are so darn reasonable. I've learned in life that you either pay with your time or your pocket-book!

Good news-just checked my emails and no mail daemon. I'll let you know what I know when I know! Know what I mean? Know %$#&! To know him is to love him. If I only knew now what I didn't know then. Okay enough with the knows! :fear:

BellyUp tixs go onsale Friday. $23 now or $25 at the door the day of. Haven't heard from Julie but found the link on Timmie's tour page-check it out at this link:
http://www.bellyup.com/show/detail/52364

Great venue and FYI you don't need to buy dinner to get a good seat or stand at the stage if that is your choice.

Still no word on Portland but I'm betting they may go on sale next Monday if not sooner.

Just got this e-mail from Timmie's rep:

Hi Carol-Lynn,

Tix are on sale for the Portland show are on sale and Solana Beach show goes on sale Fri. 10/28.
Timothy isn't planning any meet & greets. He'll play it by ear at each show whether or not he'll be able to say hi to any fans. Depends on a number of different factors. Fingers crossed...

Cheers,

Julie

Hopefully I put a bee in her/Timmie's bonnet to do some M&Gs. I'm not only crossing my fingers but my eyes and toes.
