I saw that live, and loved it then -- and it did not dissapoint on the second "go-round". Seriously, how hot is Steven Tyler? How old is he anyway? Dang. The man knows how to sell it.

I think ST is fabulous too. He's got it!

I'm not so sure about his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner yesterday before one of the football games. It was ok, but not sure his voice is really right for that song. :hmm:

He's really been promoting himself lately. He also did an interview with Oprah recently on her own network.

Yep - I love Steven too, but, honestly, he might want to leave the Star Bangled Banner to someone else and stick to 'his' kind of music.

Well, It wasn't Tyler's finest moment, but frankly, I didn't think it was that bad.
He has an unusual voice, & did it in his own style. I don't see what all the fuss is about. He still rocks in my book!:spin:

I hate it when people boo! It's so rude and mean. That's a hard song to sing. Poor guy!

I don't really understand why people are so upset about the way he sang it. How else would he deliver a song but in his own unique way? It's a tough song to sing and I think he did OK. If they wanted a smoother, more polished performance they should have hired someone like Michael Buble. I think Steven was just being true to his own style and the producers had to have known he'd deliver just that.

He may not have nailed the SSB, but he sure rocked the Jay Leno Show

Yep - that's much better, Steven!

I didn't like the boo's either, but that's probably why some performers stay away from doing these kinds of things. I remember Glenn saying in an interview once that he would never sing the National Anthem at a live event. Probably a wise decision because you open yourself up to so much criticism. With Steven being a judge on American Idol, it is even more likely that he'd be under the microscope when he performs.

When I heard Steven was going to sing the SSB, I wondered what he would do to it. I just didn't know. I thought he managed to do it respectfully, but he also put his own stamp on it. For him, he did a great job.

If they wanted it done beautifully, they should have had someone else. Steven doesn't sing beautifully. Not his style.

I love him in his style.
