Their place at the top is well-deserved!

Here is a list I made for a thread we did a while back (https://www.eaglesonlinecentral.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2195&highlight=listography):

Without You - Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc3VbDk3Fv4)
Leather and Lace - Stevie Nicks and Don Henley (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aLsn5BuoOY)
Insider - Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1t4db_tom-petty-stevie-nicks-insider_music)
Friends and Lovers - Gloria Loring and Carl Anderson (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtfipeRNOrg)
(I've Had) The Time of My Life - Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH0lEVMuzzw)
Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong - Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2y7woasr_s)

These were mine:

Don't Give Up - Gabriel/Bush (my favourite)
What's That You're Doing - Stevie Wonder/Paul McCartney
Leather & Lace
Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
This Is Us - Mark Knopfler/Emmylou Harris
Tupelo Honey - Van Morrrison/Lonnie Donegan
All I Have To Do Is Dream - Glen Campbell/Bobbie Gentry
Well, Did You Evah! - Frank Sinatra/Bing Crosby
A Foggy Day - Ella Fitzgerald/Louis Armstrong

If Led Zeppelin's The Battle Of Evermore counts as a duet, I would also include that.

And Billy Joel's Live At Shea Stadium DVD contains an awesome duet with Tony Bennett on New York State Of Mind.

That's OK - I can't count either. I only had 8. I gotta come up with two more.

I really like Reba and Don's duet as well. "These arms wanna hold you - these lips wanna kiss you - these eyes are glad to see you. Baby, I miss you."

Here's the song on Youtube:

Agree about Fairytale Of New York & Jackson. I find Her Town Too a bit bland (runs & hides). Another one I like is The Highwayman by Jimmy Webb & Mark Knopfler (yawn) which was originally sung as a quartet by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings & Kris Kristofferson.

Much as I love Elton John, I don't have much time for that massive hit he had with Kiki Dee, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, but his album of duets with Leon Russell, The Union, is great.

Of course the Knopfler/Harris album All The Roadrunning is a great duets album, as opposed to the much praised Plant/Krauss album Raising Sand, most of which actually featured solo lead vocals by each singer and not many actual duets.

I love All The Roadrunning. I could easily have put some Mark/Emmylou duets on my list. Her Town Too isn't my favourite JT song, but for me it's a treat to see and hear James and JD performing together. I can understand why you may find it a bit on the bland side, though.

Break Each Other's Heart Again - Reba/Don Henley
Hey Ahab - Elton John/Leon Russell
Stop Dragging My Heart Around - Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty
Shakey Ground - Elton John/Don Henley (I can't NOT list it, since it has two of my favorite voices on it! lol)
Rock Steady - Bryan Adams/Bonnie Raitt

I can't think of 10 right now, but at the top of my list, and not on anyone else's that I can see, is "Sailing to Philadelphia" by Mark Knopfler and James Taylor. I like history, so besides being a good song, that aspect appeals to me.

I never did get to this so let's give it a shot....

Off the top of my head...

Leather & Lace-Stevie & Don
Stumbling In-Susie Quatro and Chris Norman
Walk This Way-Aerosmith & Run DMC
Stop Dragging My Heart Around-Stevie & Tom Petty
Close My Eyes Forever- Ozzy Osbourne & Lita Ford
Don't Give Up-Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush
Under Pressure-Queen & David Bowie
Dancing In The Streets- Mick Jagger & David Bowie
Whenever I Call You Friend-Stevie & Kenny Loggins
Crossroads-Eric Clapton & Steve Windwood
Bad Blood-Elton John & Neil Sedaka

And my conclusion is that Stevie can pretty much sing with anybody and it will be good. :unimpressed:

Where do you want me to start?!

Of course it's a duet. Why didn't I think of it? Thanks for mentioning it, WE. It is a work of art. :thud:
