Thought I would share my newest tattoo with my Border friends. I wanted to honor one of my favorite groups ever. Sorry for the ink mess. It was taken right after it was done.

Well - I'm not a tattoo person myself, but that's is definitely cool for a tattoo. Didn't we have another member that had that same tattoo? I'll have to check to see if I can find another thread about this.

Dreamer, I could have posted this! I'm not a tattoo person either and I have a hard time getting excited about any tattoo, but when I saw this thread I went looking for Peekaboo's tattoo. I found where we talked about it, but I haven't found a picture yet.

While I don't do permanent tattoos, I got a henna tattoo of an eagle in honor of the band on my hand when I went to see them at the Hard Rock Park back in 2008. It got a lot of comments!

PM - that's right ... it was Peekaboo. Thanks for the reminder. I thought there was a picture of it somewhere on the board too.

And yep - I remember your henna tattoo, Soda. I thought you posted a picture of that on the board too.

Love it but having a hard time figuring out where you got it. Leg?

For the record---very fond of my tattoos!!! I've never regretted them.

It's actually on the top part of the inside of my forearm. I hadn't realized how large it looked from being mushed against the chair rest. Lol !!

Not bad, WW!
I'm more of a piercing person myself (gimme the BIG needle all at once rather than the little one for an eternity )

I love it WW!!! I've wanted a tattoo all of my life, but have never been able to decide on that one thing that I could live with permanently. In fact, in recent months I have started thinking seriously about getting something done, and spent hours pouring over different ideas! I've yet to come up with what I want though. lol

It took a little over an hour. And yes, it does hurt. But not as bad as you would think. The one on the side of my finger hurt the most out of all of them.

On a side note, go for it, Zelda !! You only live once, my dear. Make yourself happy !!

I agree, WW. If you really want one, go for it. Life's short!

As for the pain, there's a bit and it depends where you get them. The only one I remember hurting the worst was the one it took a couple hours to do on the side of my calf and part of it wrapped around to my shin bone and the needle bouncing off of it hurt like the dickens. We also took a break and it swelled up a bit so the second part was a bit more painful.

I was never a tattoo person either, but decided on getting one about 8 months ago. It is an Ank (an Egyptian cross) and got it on my right shoulder blade. It actually hurt (just a little bit) and it was massaging me as well. LOL. But the Eagles one is amazing. I might have to get a Glenn Frey one. I wonder if there would be any good artists out there that could do that.

I've asked around for recommendations on where to go for my tattoo...next step...decide on where to put it...big decision!
