I guess I stumped everybody.

The correct answer was Glenn. They played an instrumental version of You Belong To The City on Married With Children in the episode called Guys and Dolls. This song is played twice in the episode and it doesn't come on until 10 minutes before the episode ends. When I watch this episode on closed caption, for some reason they have it as the Eagles singing this song. :brickwall:

I think Glenn said he saw the Beatles on tv on Ed Sullivan's or someting like that whereas Timothy saw them in 1966 in Candlestick park(the last gig). I'm sure about Timothy but could be Glenn too.

Glenn has often mentioned his aunt taking him to see the Beatles at the Detroit Olympia in 1964. He said that all the girls were screaming & one of them fell backward into his arms shouting "Paul, Paul!" That was when he decided he wanted to learn the guitar.

ETA: Don H saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan.

shunlvswx
04-19-2014, 04:58 PM
The correct answer is Glenn. Glenn was the one who saw them in concert. Don said he saw them on tv. Other than what Glenn said in the documentary, I didn't t know if any of the other guys saw them in concert. That's why I said "that we know of" meaning Glenn was the only one that we know of that was physically at their concert. And I just notice that that was the same year that the Beatles came to America.

I didn't know about Timothy. I was going for Glenn as the answer since he was the only one I knew who saw them in concert.

The answer to Blue Feather's question is Don Henley.

Joe specifically stated on the One Show in 2013 how much he liked The Band & how upset he was when they split (Glenn said the Beatles). He appeared at several tributes for Levon Helm. Tim has worked with Garth Hudson, true, but although I imagine Glenn also admires the Band I can't remember hm ever saying so.

If clues like this apply to more than one Eagle, more than one answer is acceptable.

I looked up every EOC site to find the answer to this except GFO, because I knew it wasn't Glenn, and I was unable to find any lyrics of any solo Eagles song with this title (Trivia; I know it as an ELO song). I did a qucik Google search & also couldn't find anything. So I will guess that it was Randy Meisner, even though I found nothing on RMO. I'm afraid that I don't know the titles of any songs he did with his early bands.

He manages ALL of them, Henley included. He USED to only manage Henley after Glenn went to MCA. As far as I know Joe & Tim would have probably had different managers during those 14 years as well. But that was before the reunion.

Irving is listed as manager of Glenn, Tim & Joe in the credits of all their recent solo albums.

Sorry it's Don H. Younger Don says something like "it's something you can't do forever, you know. This is not a lifetime career that we can do, you know." This is when we are introduce to the younger Eagles. The Don of today was quoting a line from a Bob Dylan song as he was describing his rusty tractor at the end of Part 2.

Not counting the circle of death, younger Glenn doesn't say the first word. The younger Glenn says something after they go into Take It Easy, but Don says the last word in Part 2. Glenn is before him at the end of Part 2. Glenn does end Part 1, but not part 2.

I'm sure I've read it somewhere else, but can't remember where. I also noted from the BBC gig Glenn never sang on TLHTM (I think it was), but there's little evidence to suggest either way.
