We have it already in the Love For Levon concert thread, that they planned on releasing the concert in DVD. It's popped up in a recent article lately, but it still doesn't say when it will be released, just that it will be, in DVD and Blueray.

The Grammy tribute got me thinking of him. He is missed!

I didn't know about this:
In other Helm news, according to the Internet Movie Database (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1362518/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1), the long-taked about Levon documentary (http://wcbsfm.cbslocal.com/2012/10/31/levon-helm-documentary-hitting-theaters-in-2013/), Ain’t in It for My Health: A Film About Levon Helm, will hit theaters in May.
Very cool!!!!! Wish I could see it with you, Lou!!!

Aw, I wish you could too, Willie! I'll have to find out when it's coming out over here. Seems like May will be a good month...

Ya know I was trying to do the right thing and purchase it from my local barnes and noble to support the people there who need jobs and they had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for it and never got in in when they finally located it in their system. SO un fortunatly I just ordered it on Amazon sorry B and n but you dropped the ball on this one.
I ordered the blue ray dvd and the cd cause I thought it was a bargain

Thanks for the review and information! I went to this show and it was a great evening. Joe was fantastic, of course, along with so many other wonderful people. Some surprises for me were Eric Church, so I did not expect to like as much as I did, and My Morning Jacket, who I did not know too well, but were excellent. I loved The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down. Looking forward to watching this again!

Glad you enjoyed it.
I really love some of Eric Church's songs. Springsteen, Drink in My Hand, and Smoke a Little Smoke. Check them out!

I will give him a listen! I'm not usually wild about this "new country" stuff, but he was impressive enough live that I would definitely give his album a listen. Thanks for the tip!

I get the impression he's kind of a bad boy from the songs, but ....... always did like bad boys!

Yep, me too :)
For which I place the blame squarely on Glenn and Don. My brother got me into them when I was 12, in 1975, and I couldn't imagine that 2 more gorgeous men existed on the planet. And that was arguably in their very bad boy phase. Talk about warping you for life. LOL

Very cool that you were there! I watched it and really enjoyed it, even though I wish there were more of Joe in it.

I actually saw this special early this week. I can't remember what I day. I know its coming on again tonight. When I saw it was on, I was really hoping I didn't miss Joe, but I didn't thank goodness. He came on three songs after I found the special.
Interesting version of Up on Cripple Creek. I just found out this year that the Band originally cover it. I always knew The Oak Ridge Boys version. Joe did a great job.
