For $8.25 million it's all yours. Not sure if it's the one where he came up with those oh-so-very-familiar strains of HC. This says he had a recording studio at this location, and if he had one of those then, he wouldn't have gotten some old recording device from a closet to tape it (he's given the details before on the recorder used, but my memory will only hold so much).

I looked at the photo tour. The decorations are horrible but the house has lots of potential

Having just finished the "Heaven and Hell" book, I think (bought from Cheech and Chong) that's the house that they moved in after the "HC" Malibu beach house but quickly sold as Susan had done all the decorating and Felder didn't feel at home in it (too pink, no room for a recliner seat or something like that).

What's a bit confusing is that Nick Nolte was their neighbor (played very loud music) at their next house, oh well, it doesn't really matter ;-)

BTW the price is now down to $6 million from the original $8.25 listing, a bargain for sure!

Definitely not the beach front rental where he wrote HC. I don't think it's the one that Susan decorated that he didn't like, only because I thought they built that one?? I would have to go back and look in the book to be sure about that, though. CA property records will tell what year he bought it, if anyone cares to make the effort...

So I went back to the book and it is indeed the house where DF didn't feel comfortable because his wife had done all the redesigning when he was on the road in the late 70s. So they sold it and bought a 5 acre lot at Paradise Cove. Presumably that's the house where they lived until they split. Not that it really matters but that's the house that I'd associate with DF, more than the one for sale.

Poor guy - coming home from the road to find his house all pinked out! lol

Actually I'm not sure where I got the "pink" from, the book just mentions too feminine and too much granite ;-)
