Great singer and so many wonderful songs. One of my favorites is "He Stopped Loving Her Today".

A legend indeed. One of the places my aunt always took us in Nashville if we were there during the Christmas season was George's house. It was always a tourist attraction because of the spectacular decorations. George Jones was one of those very few 'twangy' country voices that I liked. The man could flat out sing. My favorite was always I Stopped Loving Her Today as well. My thoughts are with his loved ones.

R.I.P. George Jones.

I was able to see George in person twice back in the 80's. Once by himself and once with Tammy Wynette. Both shows were great and we always got to meet the artists after ward and take pictures. My favorite song is "The Grand Tour". He appeared at Ball State about a month ago. This is 10 minutes from me. I did not go to that show but some who did said his voice was very weak and he didn't look well. He will be missed.

I was so sad to hear this news. I love George and he had one of the best voices ever. One of my favourites is 'I've Seen Better Days' with Tammy Wynette. Just beautiful. Rest in peace, George.

I saw George in concert once..it was after his "no show Jones" days, and he was excellent.."Walk through this world with me" was our wedding song...23 years ago.

I grew up on this man's music and love it to this day. I'll miss "The Possum".

The services were telecast live here locally, 3 hours, star-studded, very moving. Vince Gill broke up while singing, as some others did too. A great memorial to George Jones.
