Vince Gill - Down to my Last Bad Habit.

I need to know his music better. I don't know many country artists; I came to Eagles from the rock side. I most likely should be familiar with all artists featured on Common Threads, and Cass County, in case they suddenly become members of Eagles or something. I listened to Travis Tritt's latest album the other day.

Random Czech music. The song I just posted in another thread, 'Not This Way' by 'Please the Trees' is pretty good, though really nothing like Eagles. More like Nirvana's less commercial moments.

I'm crazy about a band called Joe Innes and the Cavalcade. Folk. Particularly 'Fables' which is perfect.

But also 'Half Gone', 'Moscow'. Review of gig here: https://sshh-sshh.blogspot.com/2019/06/joe-innes-we-are-all-fossils-simeon.html

if anyone's interested.

A piece on my obsession with 'Fables' here:

And here's the song itself on YT:

But the version on Spotify is better.

See what you think.

After going down various rabbit holes, I find myself listening to chinese singer/actor/idol Xiao Zhan. Yes, he's very pretty and the fans screaming can be distracting, but I love his voice. A warm tone, an impressive transition into and out of falsetto and some nice "oohs". He tries different genres, from ballads to soft rock to more traditional chinese and the rock songs tend to have screaming guitars. This one gives an idea of his range: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBa5ZuM0aFI

I've been listening to Ace Frehley, Kiss and Alice Cooper a.lot more. Especially since I saw Ace and Alice Sunday in Bridgeport. What a great show! Chock full of guitars!!!!! What's not to love? If Any Of you are near CT, the HHC Amphitheater is just awesome brand new, not a bad seat in the house! So wish I saw foo fighters there but it sold out in seconds

When I work out i like to listen to hard rock and heavy metal. I've been listening to bands that I always heard Of but never their music until now. Some pretty good stuff out there. Mastodon, In This Moment, Fozzy to name a few
Of course still listening to Eagles and members too! Kings!

Part 2 to previous post. In case you don’t listen to Mastodon:wink: it’s funny how things collide, mesh together etc. I am a new fan to this band being around for some time now, so it’s all new to me. They have a song “Blue Walsh”. Interesting title I thought to myself. And surprise! Yes it’s name references the one and only, sorry can’t find source but apparently refers to the guitar part being influenced by Joe’s work. A link to the audio if you wish:

Here is a pic of Joe playing the Kelliher (guitarist for Mastodon) signature explorer as well When worlds collide! https://images.equipboard.com/uploads/source/image/38059/big_1105792490353df88c3ec38b14cd816a.jpg

Since I was able to find a portable CD player at Best Buy (who knew those were still being made?!) I've been listening to my CD collection. But I also, like I said in another post, got some CDs from the library. So I'll be listening to Glenn's "Above the clouds" collection on my way to work this week.

I just got my first post-COVID concert tickets as I'm feeling better and safer now. The concert is REO Speedwagon, Styx, and Loverboy on September 6th in Moline, IL. I've been really listening to a lot of all of their music getting ready.
