As everyone says their prayers tonight and this weekend, please keep the families of our 4 fallen Houston firefighters in your thoughts. Houston lost 4 firefighters in a single fire today at a restaurant/hotel. There are also 5 injured, 2 of them critically. I appreciate the prayers for them. It has been a tough day here in Houston.

That is so sad to hear, HB. When they take a job as a firefighter, I wonder if they or their family realize how dangerous it is. As I say about most professions, I'm glad somebody wants to do it, because I sure wouldn't want to. Keeping the families in my thoughts.

You've got my prayers too, HB. They were selfless and brave and gave the ultimate sacrifice. They will be remembered.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and kind words. It means a lot. One of the fallen firefighters was a 24 year old woman who had just started last month. And I heard from my ex and there are 14 injured instead of 5. This has been a very difficult past year for the Texas fire service.

Of course I will pray for those wonderful people. My husband is a fire fighter and while it a long time since Dublin has lost a firefighter it is an ever present danger that some day or night these guys will go out to work and not come home.

May they Rest in Peace and may their famines take comfort that they passed on through helping others.
