Hey Ladies on Fri on your local PBS station there is going to be a show called great performances 40th anniversary in Ca it starts at 9:00 p.m. on KOCE Don Henley is performing on it found this by searching the web I am going to be glues to my seat

According to this Don will perform Desperado.

Bizarrely, it's not airing here until 4:00 PM Sunday.

Anybody watching it now? When does Don come on?

Its on now here in MS. I just got home Don hasn't come on yet.

If its going by the order on the list from the link, Don will be on in the next 10 to 15 minutes. He has one more performer ahead of him before he comes on.

Don is on now. He comes on 53 minutes into the show.

They show clips of the different artists I guess that has been on the Great Performance. Watching a clip of Hugh Laurie(from House), he can sing. He's got a nice voice. They show a clip from the Hell Freezes Over special. They sing HC and then Don comes on.

He did a great job!! Nailed it. And he appeared so dignified. Outstanding performance. :applause: The orchestra added the extra layers that make that song so delicious!

Yes he did. He did a great job. Don sounded great and the orchestra in the back did a great job. The song sounds good with strings. Go Don.

Don sounded (and looked) amazing. It was achingly beautiful. After all these years, I still get chills every time I see him sing Desperado. His voice leaves me at a loss for words...

Don looked great. I loved what he had on. He had on his favorite part of shoes.

Just caught it! The performance was subdued but hey, it was Desperado. He sounded great and the orchestra was lovely. Check it out on the PBS website if you missed it on the air.

it was a great program with lots of great clips and the performances were great
Now Don wow he look great . and as dreamer says he still gives me chills when he sings that song ...event hough its an eagles song and I have seen gf do it live folks..he just owns that song....jmo

side note the base player is zev katz who is the base player for jd and the straight shots...great shot of him in the end Michael buble spot at the end.
