Curious what some people have for playlists in iTunes. I have about 12 songs per playlist depending on what I want. I don't buy music online often, normally it's a CD ripped into my iTunes and then on my iPod. I change the songs out every once in awhile.

Here's a few of mine.

Positive Motivation/Thinking

1. Don't Look Back - Boston
2. Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd
3. Already Gone - Eagles
4. Keep Pushin' - REO Speedwagon
5. Take It Easy - Eagles
6. Here Comes The Sun - Beatles
7. Good Times Bad Times - Led Zeppelin
8. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
9. Don't Stop - Fleetwood Mac
10. Jump - Van Halen
11. Paradise City - Guns N' Roses
12. Start Me Up - Rolling Stones

Rock N' Roll Attitude/Energy

1. No More No More - Aerosmith
2. Highway To Hell - AC/DC
3. Get Over It - Eagles
4. Don't Ask Me No Questions - Lynyrd Skynyrd
5. All Right Now - Free
6. Straight On - Heart
7. Rock N' Roll All Nite - KISS
8. Rock N' Roll - Led Zeppelin
9. Refugee - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
10. Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue
11. Back In The Saddle - Aerosmith
12. Walk Away - James Gang

Party Music/Fun

1. Gimme Three Steps - Lynyrd Skynyrd
2. You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC
3. Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard
4. Jumpin' Jack Flash - Rolling Stones
5. Life's Been Good - Joe Walsh
6. Panama - Van Halen
7. Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin
8. Nothin' But A Good Time - Poison
9. Honky Tonk Women - Rolling Stones
10. Life In The Fast Lane - Eagles
11. Hard To Handle - The Black Crowes
12. The Stroke - Billy Squier

That's just a couple of them and as I said the songs change depending on my mood but I'm curious as to what playlists you have if any for specific events, moods, etc.

I will have to give them some thought, WF, and post later! Good idea for a topic.

I haven't done this, but think it's a great idea! I'll see what I can come up with this weekend!

I was planning to make a Don Henley one for the survivor game, but haven't got that done yet! And I don't even have to think about what songs to put on it! :headscratch:

I have playlists of 100 songs per time & I delete them once they have been played. I do have some CDs which follow themes to some extent. This one is called Drive & works good in the car:

1. When Doves Cry - Prince
2. Turn To Stone - ELO
3. Back In The USSR - Beatles
4. Rock The Casbah - Clash
5. (Don't Fear) The Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult
6. Jet - Wings
7. Summer In The City - Lovin' Spoonful
8. Fortunate Son - CCR
9. Rebel Rebel - David Bowie
10. Who Are You - The Who
11. Money - Beatles
12. Elected - Alice Cooper
13. Short Memory - Midnight Oil
14. Paint It, Black - Rolling Stones
15. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting - Elton John
16. The Jean Genie - David Bowie
17. Bad Moon Rising - CCR
18. Running Up That Hill -Kate Bush
19. You Win Again - Bee Gees
20. Drive - REM

No Eagles there. I tend not to put them on CDs. I will post another one later.

Great driving list FP.

I definitely like playlists. I like random shuffle too, but for certain moods, happenings, or locations I prefer a themed playlist.

Right now I'm listening to my Energy playlist as I'm tired and a bit zonked after today (had some minor surgery on my face).

Great Playlists!

WF- I have almost all of those songs and love them! Hope you feel better soon!

FP- Kate Bush- Running up that hill- one of my favorites. I used to have that on cassette and always listened to it when I had a long drive to work back in the late 1980's- My brother borrowed my car one day and happened to hit play on my cassette deck in the car and ended up "borrowing" my Kate Bush cassette! he liked it that much. He finally bought me a new cassette and kept my old one.

She is so talented. My husband saw her live on her only tour, at the Sunderland Empire in north east England.

I looked at all my homemade CDs & there are only a couple of them I should share because they tend to have up to 20 tracks. I might make some up.

What a fun thread :) I only have two mixed playlists on Itunes. One is entitled 'walking' (bet you can't guess what I'm doing while I listen to that - haha) and the other is called 'Tracey'. It's full of slow or quiet songs. I like to listen to it when I go to sleep, or when I'm in a mellow mood. Otherwise, my playlists are of specific artists - Zac Brown Band, Bruno Mars, and Eva Cassidy just to name a few. I like the idea of a travel mix. Also, someone on another thread was putting together a list of all the songs from HOE - that would be another great playlist.:partytime:

I made some new ones yesterday. Favorite Don Henley, favorite Glenn Frey, and favorite Beatles songs.

I forgot I had made one with the HotE tour songs on it that I listened to before I went to my show in St. Louis.

I tend to list my favourite songs by artists in the threads we have for them. I don't do playlists just of one artist so I won't be listing anything like that, especially for the Eagles where we have favourite song topics.

Again off the top of my head this is a possible playlist about places:

1. Baker Street - Gerry Rafferty
2. Tunnel Of Love - Dire Straits
3. Hotel California - Eagles
4. Back In The USSR - Beatles
5. New Orleans - Stevie Nicks
6. Italian Summer - Stevie Nicks
7. What It Is - Mark Knopfler (Edinburgh)
8. New York State Of Mind - Billy Joel
9. Nights On Broadway - Bee Gees
10. Route 66 - Glenn Frey
11. Four Strong Winds - Neil Young
12. Wild West End - Dire Straits
