Glenn made an appearance at the National Academy of Television's Mid-America Chapter Emmy presentations earlier this evening. It seems it came as a surprise to most.

Kansas City. My guess is that Glenn is a friend of Les Garland.

Google doesn't show many links between the two but there was this from back in 2008 about the opening of a new arena in Missouri:

“We had planned for the Nov. 22-23 basketball weekend to be the opening events for JQH Arena,” said Randy Blackwood, executive director of athletics and entertainment facilities, “but when we had the chance to book the Eagles, we jumped at it. What a way for Springfield to get back on the major concert map.
“We owe a special debt of gratitude to Mr. Les Garland and Mr. Mike Ingram, two good friends of the university, who worked with President (Michael T.) Nietzel and Missouri State to make this concert a reality. Quite frankly, had it not been for Mr. Garland and Mr. Ingram, this concert would not have been booked. We very much appreciate their assistance.”

Thanks for posting this VA. Ya just never know what city Glenn might show up in these days. He seems to be doing a lot more of these types of events in recent times.

I've never heard of Les Garland, but my son went to MSU for 4 years. I can't remember if he was still in college at that time in Springfield or not, but I remember the Eagles playing there and opening the new arena and wishing I could go.

Thanks for posting this! I know I'm terribly late but it seems the last two weeks have been sucked away in a vortex of various events, some wonderful and some not so wonderful, that have made it difficult for me to post regularly on the board.

I love to see Glenn out and about! Some artists seem to become hermits when they're not on tour or on the promotional trail. I can understand why but I don't think it's healthy to indulge oneself in that lifestyle too long (see Christine McVie, lol).
