Well I was so moved by little "Jake" that I did some more research .. and what I found is astounding. His mother has set up a website for him, http://www.caringbridge.org/ma/jakob.ashton/ but what that website focuses on is just heartbreaking. This special little boy has major health issues and still manages to be a fun loving, sweet young man (make sure you look at the photos and journal history for the full impact).

It puts the videos in a whole new prespective doesn't it?

Ooooooh, that's very sad. :( I've read the journal history and it was hard for me to understand all that. Too much medical words in it. From what I understand is his stomach works not in the way it's supposed to.
Have you read a bit in the guest book? Very moving messages there.

Firstly I have to say that Jake looks like an adorable little boy. Just look at those eyes. They are so cute. And what a sweet singer.

It is terrible that he has to suffer from such an illness.

But what is even more terrible is how he and his family were treated in the casualty that night. It seems to be the same everywhere. Governments seem to have unlimited amounts of money to spend on Defence, acquisition of 'state buildings', ministerial cars, jaunts and junkets and generally anything that improves their lifestyles or raises their own personal profiles, whereas the 'ordinary' and vulnerable people (particularly the youngest and the elderly) are put last in the list of priorities.

He was so sweet. Did you also click on the 6 year old girl who WOWWED Simon on Britains "Idol" - she was very cute too.

No! When I read your post I went back into the site but couldn't find it. Can you provide a link if possible please?

She's really lovely. She didn't win - an opera singer did (he was also excellent). Seems like the British version of 'Idol' has more variety than the US version.
