I see the CA fires have hit San Diego hard - doesn't Joe live in SD? Any word on if the fires have affected him or any of the other guys in CA?

I know this is only rather loosely connected to the Eagles, but I heard on the Radio the other day that David Geffen's place had been burned down. Of course that could have been an exaggeration. Lets hope everyone in California escapes these fires without any further loss of life, injuries opr damage to property.

I second that and I also hope that Don's place in Malibu was OK.

People in California are having trouble with wild fires again. I looked it up and as far I can tell Glenn is in the Brentwood area of LA and Joe is in the Studio City area of LA. Don's main home is in Texas so he is out of the lines of the fires but what about Timothy, one fire got close to his house once. From what I'm reading the guys should be North of the fires and their homes and family be ok. We really need to keep all of the people affected in our prayers.

The fires are near Santa Barbara, aren't they? The Eagles are in Los Angeles, south of there.

Joe and Marjorie bought a place in Beverly Hills and they have a place in San Diego unless they sold it. The place in Studio City is a place he's had for years. As fas as I know, the place in Beverly Hills is the primary residence. There's a condo on the coast too, but I dont think it's in jeapordy.

I believe he is in Calabasas, California. Slightly NW of Los Angeles.

Or Ireland from what I hear. I think it was Ireland.

Speaking of fires....not California, but Las Vegas. We saw this on Wednesday out there:

Moulin Rouge, Las Vegas's first integrated gambling hall, burned so badly that fire crews had to bulldoze the thing to the ground. Can't even tell if it was an accidental fire or if it was arsen. Very Suspicious because it had just gone up for auction the day before!

Back in 1955 through sometime in the 60's, it was the only casino in Las Vegas that allowed African Americans entry other than for providing entertainment....the likes of Sammy Davis Jr. and the rest of the "Rat Pack" and many others helped break that stupid social pattern prevalent in that time period.

I hate fire season. With 100 degree temps and no rain, the desert right now is a fire hazard. It will only take one person to be careless and the whole thing will go up. We had a fire in back of our house a couple of years ago. We watched it from our back yard and waited for it to come over the mountain. We kept our motor home stocked with food and spare clothes in case. It was just a matter of throwing the dog in and making a run for it.
