Well after a couple of quiet days in Walsh world, here's some pretty big news, courtesy of Kory Grow and Rolling Stone.

Joe plays guitar on a Setember 11th, album by new supergroup Hollywood Vampires (Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper & Joe Perry)

The names are big, So are the tracks; Whole Lotta Love (Led Zep), I Got A Line (Spirit) and Manic Depression (J Hendrix)

Interesting group of people (Christopher Lee, Bob Ezrin and Robby Krieger) and very eclectic choice of cover tunes.

Well, the month of September just keeps on getting better for new music releases. Sounds like this album should be interesting.

Ringo was one of the original Hollywood Vampires - I'm surprised he's not on the record. Looks like his son is filling in for him instead.

You can listen to their version of My Generation now, although I don't think Joe appears on this song.

Thanks AlreadyGone95, here's I Got A Line On You that has got Joe's guitar chops on it.

After hearing it, my favourite version of I Got A Line is still Jay Ferguson's live stomper. I didn't see the greatness of the Spirit original until I heard Jay's version that was the climax of a Spirit/Jo Jo Gunne rocking medley with Run, Run, Run and Mr. Skin.

I admit that I don't care for My Generation. (It's a song that I don't even like the original much), but I do like I got a Line On You. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with Spirit, though.

I've never really liked Led Zep's Whole Lotta Love but I'll definitely give the Hollywood Vampires version a fare few listens'

Th harmonica sounds great! Joe's distinctive lead guitar licks shine too

I LOVE LZ's Whole Lotta Love and just about any of their rockers.

I'm definitely looking forward to this.

For me, Joe Perry and Joe Walsh are in my top 5 favorite players ever. Aerosmith is a top 5 band for me as well.

I really think it's a cool thing and I know Perry knows Pagey's parts well as that was one of his main heroes so I know he will do it justice.
