Welcome AF!

I lived in Melbourne twice - loved it. Mostly in the Fitzroy area. Also spent a lot of time at the State Library, etc etc..

Gosh, I still remember all the streets (Elizabeth, Nicholson, and the side streets like Bourke)

Not to get off topic but I'm interested to hear that. I wouldn't call Bourke St a side street though as the main shopping mall runs through it; there is Little Bourke St though.

I should have said 'intersecting" street... I remember the Victoria Markets, I was also there for the Melbourne Comedy Festival. This girl had an extra ticket to a Marxist conference, which was a bunch of people posturing. I always busked on guitar or drums in front of the State Library. I stayed at The Nunnery, Hanover, other hostels, couchsurfed in the suburbs, a very lively city, people all over, especially the lawn of the library to meet each other. The only people I see outside here in the US are homeless..

Hi AussieFan! I made a thread just for you. ;) Welcome!

Thanks Sodascout...love wandering through all your threads. This is a great site. Was just talking about how the Internet has enabled people like me who live outside the USA to access info on the Boys that we couldn't get in the past...
