What a night! I'm typing this on my phone so I'll be brief for now.

Regarding the VIP thing, I talked with Joe for like 15 seconds in between photos so there were no deep meaningful moments, but I gave him a big hug and he was very sweet. The photo will be available in a week or two.

The set list was typical, except we only got a two-song encore. He's changed a lot of the guitar solos even from when I saw him a few months ago, which was cool. Waddy Wachtel was amazing with Joe. They were really in.sync. Loved Joe Vitale too.

Something very not typical... Ringo Starr joined him for Rocky Mountain Way! I got to see a Beatle perform!

I cried all through TITTL, but I appreciate Joe taking time during his show to recognize Glenn.

I'll post a photo of the set list tomorrow and the meet'n'greet when I get it. Gosh I hope that photo is flattering! Now all I need is a photo with Tim. Maybe Sunday...

Last night was One Hell of a Night! Joe Walsh was awesome as usual. I'm still mourning the loss of Glenn Frey. I hope the remaining Eagles find a way to come together and do some shows. Such an incredible ensemble of talent.

Soda is absolutely correct! The concert was great, Joe was FABULOUS & Ringo was an AMAZING surprise!! From my vantage point I could see Ringo perfectly & when Joe walked back out for the encore it took me a second to realize a different drummer came out & oh my it was Ringo!!! I think a lot of the crowd did not realize it yet because they were rightfully focused on Joe. But then with a huge grin Joe turned & pointed at the new drummer & the crowd erupted. After they did RMW, Ringo stood & gestured to his heart to Joe and Joe returned the gesture. You can see they have a great relationship. And as Joe then said as Ringo was leaving, "You don't see that every day" :yay:

It sounds so good. Of all of the solo acts, this is the one I'd like to see. I'm hoping they'll bring it to the UK at some point.

How were Bad Company?

I didn't know any of the songs by Bad Company and wasn't keen on all the smoke effects, but they were energetic and sounded great. Paul Rodgers really knows how to work a mic!

I'm kinda glad I decide to not go to Nashville. I'm not really a fan of Bad Company and I don't even know what songs they sing. All I knew that Paul Rodgers used to sing with Queen.

Did Joe go on first and last. I know he and Bad Company rotate who goes on first and last.

Joe went second. Otherwise, I must admit, I would have left early and not stayed for Bad Company. They're a good band; it's just I'm not really familiar with them.

Wow! So glad you got to go! You hugged Joe for all of us! I know he felt the love!

I'm so happy for Joe to be on this fun tour.

I had Paul Rodgers mixed up with Paul Young. I really don't know Paul Rodgers or Bad Company, but I'm sure I would recognize their well-know songs.

Thanks for writing about the show. It must have been quite an evening, when you think about how many players were there.

Thanks for putting up the review Soda and for letting us know how you all got on. Glad too that you got to meet Joe, albeit for just a short time. The gig sounds good too - looking forward to seeing the full setlist. In the mean time enjoy the rest of your trip to LA.

I'm sure you will look beautiful in the picture.

Do you know Free and "All Right Now"? Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke were in Free prior to Bad Company.

Thank you for the review, Soda.

Soda, how awesome that you got to see a Beatle! Besides meeting Joe! Glad it was a good show!

I'd like to see Bad Company too. They had quite a few hits back in the day...Feel Like Making Love, Good Lovin Gone Bad, Can't Get Enough, Young Blood. Besides the classic staple by Free-All Right Now (which UtW mentioned). We had a couple of their albums back then. Love Paul's voice!

ETA: And I wanna see your pic too! I'm sure it will be good, how could it not?!

So happy that you share your reviews with us here Soda. You have such a way with words. Maybe one day you can write a book that chronicles all your trips to see Eagles shows, solo shows, golf events, etc! :) I'm still working my way through the older posts and it's been great to read about all of your adventures.

Glad that you had a good time, Soda. That had to be such a treat to see Ringo place with Joe! I hope that your photo turns out well.

As for Bad Company (*insert fangirl scream here*), they're my favorite band as I think I've mentioned before. I love them more than some other band named after a bird (sacrilege, probably. Free is my 4th favorite band.) To my knowledge, Bad Co doesn't do any Free songs, at least not since 2002's live cd/dvd In Concert: Merchants of Cool, where they did All Right Now and Wishing Well. (I would recommend any fan check out the 3 different live DVDs they've done, Merchants of Cool, Hard Rock Live, and Live at Wembley.) Bad Company did have their fair share of hits, especially in states. 6 of the 8 songs off the self titled debut album were hits. Some songs not already mentioned that were hits and were probably in thesetlist include: Ready For Love, Bad Company, Shooting Star, Burnin' Sky, Rock n Roll Fantasy, Can't Get Enough, Running With the Pack, Live for the Music, Gone Gone Gone. Rock Steady, Electricland, Movin' On, and Silver Blue and Gold. (Fangirl moment is now over.)

I took three photos. They aren't exactly masterpieces - the lighting is crap - but it's better than nothing! Here they are:

If you know where to look, you can see me in this video a couple times, especially at 2:25-2:27! I'm in the front row to Joe's right in a blue sundress with bare shoulders, clapping and smiling.

Check out who else was backstage - Bette Midler and Dave Grohl, among others!

That's a good video to post --you're in the front row & the picture is blurry! It must be a surprise--the clip is so professional.
