According to the UK's Daily Star newspaper, next year's October Desert Trip festival in Indio, CA, is already being planned with Don, Fleetwood Mac and Steely Dan being lined up to appear.
Organisers wil again approach Led Zeppelin to appear having reportedly turned down a fortune to appear at this year's event.
Let's hope this actually happens- Indio is one of my favourite places.

I'm not sure if that's official since the one for this year just got announced. I would love that though. This year's lineup is great and I love they are doing a Classic Rock festival in the fall now.

They have two now Shun. The one Joe played at is the original Coachella in April. This new one starts in October and it's a Classic Rock Festival and this year's has Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Who, Neil Young, and Roger Waters.

Wow, that line-up really is incredibly impressive, buffyfan. Are you thinking of going?

That's one heck of a lineup!

It'll be cool if Don does play the festival next year!

Sounds like a fantastic line up! I get the sense they're going for a 1970s flavour next year, following on from the celebration of the 1960s legends this autumn. FM, Don and Steely Dan is a great start, although I think it would take a hell of a deal to get Led Zeppelin to perform, as this isn't the first time I've heard of them turning down a big deal to reunite. I almost certainly will not be able to go, but for anyone who can I think it sounds absolutely brilliant and you should try and get tickets as soon as possible.

I so wish I could but financially have to stick to shows in the Midwest. It is a great lineup and I agree it sounds like to start it off is a 60s theme, then next year would make sense to be 70s and then probably 80s in 2018.

It is lovingly referred to as Oldchella. There's Coachella and Oldchella.
