Congratulations go out across the pond to Sir Rod Stewart, who was knighted by Prince William in a ceremony on Tuesday.

Congrats to Sir Rod!!! :D I was surprised that Prince William knighted him as I thought it was only the Queen (or King) who could, but guess that's not the case.

Charles used to do a lot of the more 'popular' knighthoods & now it seems William will be doing more of them. The award had already been conferred, remember. The ceremony is just an acknowledgement.

I want to see the following:

Sir Mark Knopfler
Sir Peter Gabriel
Sir Philip Collins
Sir Robert Plant

but I'm not holding my breath.
