Just heard on the radio that on March 2nd VH1 is going to feature the Eagles on their 'Classics' program. It sounds like a show that highlights one classic band/artist per show. The radio person was saying they had just had Eric Clapton featured and that the Eagles were due to be on the March 2nd show. I went to the VH1 site but it was down for maintenance so no further info there yet. Anyways, mark your calenders. :D

Is it VH1 or VH1 Classic? I only have VH1. Still, it sounds like a very cool program!

Oh, maybe that was what she meant? Mmmmm. I'll have to check to see if we get VH1 Classic - I didn't even know VH1 had a Classic station.

That's 60 Minutes Classics, which VH1 Classic debuted last night with a 1999 Clapton interview. They are taking 60 Minutes profiles of various classic artists and adding unseen footage from that profile.

Sounds very good. I'm hoping we can get it over here. I know we have some VH1 channels but I'm not sure which. Of course it will be on at some ungodly hour! But still, if I can make chat parties......

Oh, gosh - that's sounds wonderful! What a pity that I don't have VH1 Classic. Maybe I can ask someone who has it to record it for me...

If I can manage to get it I'll try MF! But my efforts to do the CMA's didn't work out very well

Well I have got VH1 and VH1 Classic so I should at least be able to see it! I'll learn how to use the recorder in the meantime!

I get VH1 Classic too, so I'll try and catch it. Thanks for the heads up tbsfanatic.

By the way, if you go to the website (it's up again now) and search on Eagles, there are really good versions of the old Long Run, In The City and I Can't Tell You Why videos. Don and Glenn in particular are hotter than hot in these. That chest...

Can't seem to save them though. :?

Shoot, there's one part of the video where they do a slow pan from his waist to his face and you get to see that gorgeous chest so enticingly revealed thanks to a few undone buttons. SO NICE.

OK its on at 8pm. What time zone however, I'm not sure. Its followed from 8:30 to 9:30 by the HFO concert, and then goes back to the boys from 9:30 to 10:00pm. This would be well worth recording if anyone could. Seems my tv will only record the cabled stations whatever way it is set up (Hubby  ) Not the satellite ones. If someone DOES manage to get these 2 hours onto disc I'd appreciate a copy!

Did anyone see and record the VH1 Classic Special? Did they show anything we didn't see on the 60 Minutes special? I would love it if someone would put it up here, or give us a report. My TV will only record "regular" stations too, and I missed it completely.

Mine didn't even show it :( . At midnight it seems to switch to reruns of soap operas that are at least 10 years old  . It was scheduled for 1am. Sorry I can't help :(

I set the Skybox to record VH1 Classic between 8pm and 11pm, although there was nothing on the menu. Before I went away, I tipped off hubby not to delete it on pain of death. I'll see tomorrow...

 It seems I was a bit slow to see this, GA, but I got a good laugh out of it! I may be able to help you in this department...

Oh, I hear you, Soda!   Seems I was a bit slow to see this too! I'd say "enticingly" is the right word here. Very well chosen, girlfriend!

I missed this as I checked the VH1 Classic listings & couldn't find it, so I assumed it wasn't on. Does anyone have it on DVD which they would be willing to copy for me(willing to pay) ?

LOL

Steph, I'm gutted. On the website it was advertised, but on the Skybox it seemed to be something different. I recorded from the Skybox and got three hours of slushy love longs, including Donny Osmond - need I say more?

Oh GEF! I'm so sorry! Looks like VH1 seem to do their own thing this side of the pond! Hopefully our stateside friends will be able to come up with the goods.
