Here are some video from a guy's periscope account. The first three songs were Seven Bridges Road, Take It Easy and One Of These Nights.

They sounded great on Seven Bridges Road and I thought Deacon did a great job with Take It Easy.

I see Steuart and Don is back there on the drums.

Joe introduced Deacon. Deacon wore a Dodger jersey with sunglasses on his head like his father use to do.

Thanks Shun, you're the best!

I saw Take It Easy on Instagram by looking up Deacon as a hashtag, and I was amazed that he sounded Glenn-like. I was like was this pre-recorded vocals from Glenn? I'm definitely not saying that it is, but I was shocked in a good way. I'm no hearing expert though, so this is just a feeling that he sounded pretty similar to Glenn.

I've heard Deacon sing Hotel California and Change the World (Clapton) on YouTube and never thought that he could sound like Glenn.

So I did something I said I wouldn't do, watch a video from the show. I watched two IG clips, one of Deacon singing and one of Vince singing.

My thoughts are this. To me, Deacon is a spitting image of his dad visually but their voices are rather different. Deacon actually has a lower tone to his voice to my ears and not the same but I'll be the first to admit I actually got choked up watching him sing TIE and it put a smile on my face afterwards. Regardless how I feel about what has went down, that was a cool moment and is why I decided to watch it. Rather if he wanted the band to continue or not, Glenn had to be proud.

Vince, I thought did ok on PEF. I think it was much like the other videos we've seen of him either from the Opry or the KCH. Good, but not the same by any stretch. I think Vince, as great as he is, should thank his lucky stars for being there. I think HE knows how special it is, but still. He seems like a nice guy but I didn't care for his eagerness to join the band or saying how perfect he was for them. And I think Vince is a nice guy, but perhaps a bit too eager to replace a songwriting, singing, and entertainment legend regardless of influence that he may have had on him. Admittedly, it has tarnished my thoughts of Vince a little, I always thought him to be more humble than that. But maybe it's just the press.

I second RCF's post! Thanks Shun for all the updates. I can barely keep my eyes open but I'm so drawn to this show. Deacon sounded great singing Take It Easy. It brought a smile to my face but it was bittersweet at the same time. Is there a video or audio of TITTL? I can't find it. So awesome that Bob Seger showed up!!

I know it was just cell phone audio but I did think SBR sounded anemic without Glenn.

Looking at all the tweets I read tonight, everything was positive. One negative tweet, but he didn't care about the Eagles or Steely Dan. So I guess that doesn't count

Everybody enjoyed Deacon and said he sounded a little like his dad and good reviews from Vince too.

Like I said in another post. Per Irving's interview on Sirius, Sirius radio will play some of the performances of the festival in a few days once they tweet the audio and everything else. He didn't say which performances or how much will be played.

Irving said their probably won't be a tour, but knowing Irving, his mind will change. I saw mostly positive tweets tonight.

WF88, you're right about how Deacon sounds lower than his dad, but it still sounded Glenn-like to me. If Deacon's voice was compared to his dad's recordings in the 70s, then yes, it's not as close. Since as people get older, their voices get lower. So Deacon's voice still was Glenn-like to me, if I compared it to how his dad sounded on the recent tours of the last decade. I'm not saying that it's bad that Deacon's voice isn't as high as his dad's, since that's pretty difficult to adjust as I could imagine. I know that you're not saying it's bad either, since you were just stating an observation. Deacon did a great job for his first big show and that's pretty amazing.

Oh yeah, I thought it would have been weird if Deacon grew out facial hair like his dad (maybe not as thick), so I definitely agree with you on the spitting image part. I was thinking that was the only thing missing, but thankfully, it was missing.

I didn't know that Vince Gill said that stuff about wanting to be in he band so bad. I couldn't blame him for saying that, but I get that it's a bit too eager like you said.

Hmmm. I watched an IG video of the show and I recognized Vince's voice immediately and I'm pretty sure it was PEF. Maybe it was something different. Regardless, I thought it was a pretty lackluster performance.

Shun - You out did yourself here - Thank You !
I had a hard time with the Instagram but was able see the you tube also. Thanks UTW. Very cool that Bob was there. He loved Glenn so much.

On another note, I do not believe a word Irving says about these being their only shows. If money is to be made Irving will be at the forefront.

Side Note: Just listened to TIE & PEF- Deacon does a great job. He sounds a lot like Glenn but I think, at least from these videos, Glenn had a better voice. Don appeared to be very supportive to Deacon and kept coming over and talking to him in between singing. Joe also seemed very supportive and made a sweet intro of Deacon. They all seemed to enjoy being together. SBR was just so so.
WARNING: THE VIDEOS UTW PUT UP WERE BLOCKED ALREADY 8AM HERE ! I tied to see the others posted and ding - blocked.

Thanks for the updates all, I've been trawling various social media outlets trying to piece it together so it's good it's all in one place here!

Decent setlist by the looks of things, solid and well-structured with the odd deep cut for good measure. Deacon certainly did his father proud from what I have seen of him, and it was brilliant to see Bob come out for Heartache Tonight, he absolutely smashed it in the KCH performance.

I noticed during the close up of Deacon that he is wearing some kind of necklace under his Dodgers shirt. Wonder if it could be the Eagles necklace.

I was watching Take It Easy and Deacon was soo taken back by the love he was getting after Joe introduce him. I think I saw him mouthed Thank You and Wow a couple of times.

I love the fact the audience showed Deacon some love.

I saw what you were talking about NKIT. Deacon was probably wearing his dad's necklace. I have no idea what necklace Glenn was still wearing after the 70s, but Deacon might was wearing his necklace. I know Deacon is wearing his father's ear monitor box like he had on in that picture from rehearsal.

I loved that Deacon was paying tribute to his dad by wearing a sports jersey, sunglasses on top of his head, probably wearing Glenn's necklace he's been wearing for years and everything else. He even wore a sweat band Glenn always wore in the 70s to today.

I know Glenn was there in spirit. I know Glenn was definitely proud of Deacon last night.

I wonder if Deacon will do the two shirt thing Glenn wore since they got back together. That was was his signature look for 23 years.

Shun, thanks so much for posting all this info! I was following along all over the internet last night as best I could.

Totally overwhelmed and verklempt at seeing Deacon out there. From everything I saw/heard, he looked and sounded great. His voice is noticeably lower than Glenn's. The online response seemed incredibly positive for him as well - sounds like he did his dad proud.

I can't imagine what a bittersweet and surreal night it must have been for him. And for that matter, the other guys as well - probably a little crazy to be on stage and look up and see someone looking so much like Glenn did in the old days.

Anyway, I also heard rumors that Randy was present (I so hope he was). And Bob Seger joining them on stage? Love it.

I noticed Vince joined in the 2-part harmony in SBR that is usually just Don and Timothy. And in TIE, it's Vince not Timothy who harmonizes with Deacon during the "standing in the corner" verse. Did it seem to anyone else Joe was having some trouble with the guitar solo?

Overall it seems like it was a great show and I wish I could have been there!

A great quote from Deacon. I loved the fact the audience was showing him love and he really appreciate that. I loved that Deacon calls Don, Joe and Timothy his uncles. Deacon has known these guys since he was in diapers. He was just 1 when Hell Freezes Over happened in 1994. Yes, Randy was there. I read on an Eagles FB Fan site that someone who had front row seats stated they saw Randy being escorted back stage and than escorted to special seats for the concert. The total of songs from each of them.
Don - 8

Timothy - 2

But if you total up Glenn songs, it was 8 songs played. Almost the usual he sings in concert.

I'm sure those who were there enjoyed the show, and that's the main thing. There are certain Glenn songs I can imagine someone else singing. Then there are songs that IMHO are so "Glenn" that it's almost painful to listen to somebody else sing them - certainly under the name "Eagles". Lyin' Eyes is one of them. You can give it a perfect country interpretation, but it's nothing special. (Glenn wasn't a traditional country singer.)

I would have preferred more Deacon and less Vince, because IMO they couldn't convincingly fill the gap left by Glenn musically, but they could sort of fill it emotionally with Deacon. Incidentally, I love Deacon's mid-70's Glenn look with those sunglasses.

But I'm glad for the people who were there and enjoyed a show. I don't feel that something sacrilegious was done. Glenn's legacy still remains.

I felt that it very much a "belt and braces" approach to the show. They had far more musicians and talent on stage than they needed but it meant that they had backup for everything. Deacon was untested in front of a huge audience. He might have dried up but if he had, there would have been someone to step in or support his vocals. Just knowing that support was there probably helped keep the nerves down - not that he showed any sign of nerves. I was impressed at how comfortable he looked.

How many violinists did they have? I counted either four or six.

What was the instrument that was used for the intro to HC and who played it? I thought that was an interesting touch.

I haven't seen a video of New Kid in Town posted yet but I think that's one I don't care to watch. Nothing against Vince. I would have preferred more Deacon on vocal and more Vince on guitar.

It sounds like a Mexican trumpet to me. I'd like to know who played it as well.

Chaim - Well said. I too think there are only songs that Glenn could do and LE and NKIT are two of them.
I know Vince is a great singer and musician but I personally did not care for his version of LE.

UTW - I don't know about Vince being Deacon's Godfather. I would have thought that honor would have gone to his two brothers to be Taylor's and Deacon's GF. But who knows. :???:

Sounds identical to the prelude to Hotel California when they employed the Mighty Horns. Perhaps they reemployed some of their services? Al Garth (?) played violin with them for years and Billy Armstrong / his replacement played the trumpet prelude IIRC.

Yep. Technically they didn't leave since they became Don's band full time since the Eagles were no more in 2016 before they changed their minds. Will and Michael were part of Don's solo band before they became the Eagles backing band in 2001(Scott had played in Don's band during the 90s, but not during his Inside Job tour) when the guys started back touring. Only Lance, Chris, Laura and Lilly weren't there.

Except Richard, everybody from the backing band was back. I think the horn section are probably from Don's solo band.

Irving said their probably won't be a tour, but knowing Irving, his mind will change. I saw mostly positive tweets tonight.

Do you think that's his real opinion, or a statement meant to try to encourage ticket sales for the Classic East show!

I mean if they were going on about a tour right now, they might lose some last minute sales, with people opting to wait until it was just the Eagles at a smaller and cheaper venue later in the year.

I have been watching all the YouTube videos, and I have to say that I am pleased with the sound, the songs, and the new guys. Very well done.

I thought Deacon sounded Glenn-esque without sounding like an impersonator.
PEF, and TIE were superb.

I thought Vince sounded real good, especially on NKIT and TITTL.

It seems that all but 3 songs are on YouTube, which was great.

I don't know. Irving knows they are hot right now and there's a demand to see them(hence the Classic East/West festival), of course their will be a small tour down the road. Don said many times in interviews that if everything goes good and the response from these two dates are good, they could do more dates down the road and from the positive reviews I've seen, I do see them doing a little tour next year. I don't think this is the end yet.

I expect to see The Classic East/West heavily marketed/promoted on the secondary market vis a vis a live concert DVD. They will keep touring. Midwest. South. Northwest. Overseas. Even though he played drums at the Grammys and Glenn's memorial service, I think this is the first time in 2 years that Don picked up the drumsticks for a full show since Bossier City in 2015. I bet he was a little rusty, but got back in the swing of things.

I have to admit, it was kind of nice watching what felt like some unpolished performances of Eagles songs...the Eagles have always been such perfectionists onstage. The only slightly negative comment I read was that Glenn's banter and sense of humour was really missed and the other Eagles didn't take up the mantle but that was Glenn and he was unique.

I have mixed feelings about all of this. I found myself wanting to go out and sit in my car while this was going on so I could listen, but yet, lately, when I've heard one of Glenn's songs play I've become sad just thinking he's gone and I'll never hear him live again. I didn't have time to do that because we were babysitting our grandson, so I've been anxious to get here and hear all about it.

I just listened to Deacon and saw his videos you all have posted. I feel like I'm in some kind of time warp! He reminds me so much of 70's Glenn with his hair, sunglasses and shirt! But yet, the rest of the band are current! It's kind of crazy! And I'm sad, but yet excited, to hear and see how it all went!

I wish the best for Deacon and this will probably have a huge impact on his career if he wishes to pursue having his own band and getting out there.

Just wanted to put my feelings on this out there. Now I must get back to page 3 and read some more!

They added Seven Bridges Road, Those Shoes(well technically this song was on the setlist for 2 years during the HOTE, and The Last Resort.

I really shouldn't had been shocked with The Last Resort being added since Don has been playing this song in his solo shows. I thought they might drop Those Shoes, but I'm glad they kept it. I was surprised with Seven Bridges.

Thanks, Soda, for posting Stevie's sweet comments about Glenn and Deacon! That also brought tears to my eyes.

So I've been through this thread now and am still amazed at Deacon and how calm and cool he was. Performing in front of a crowd like that had to be very intimidating. He did a fantastic job! Glenn would have been so proud!

I also appreciate the comments from Joe, Don and Vince. It made it ok that they were doing this, for me.

Thank you, shun, for all you've done here too! Awesome job keeping up with all of it. A lot of the videos have been blocked now, but I did get to see Deacon's TIE, PEF, and part of AG and Bob's HT. OMG! Awesome!

As far as them touring again, who knows? Even though: "Early in the night, Henley addressed the fact this might be the band’s last hometown show. “In case this is our last dance, we want to thank all the fans in Southern California,” he said. “It all started here in Los Angeles.” We shall see!

I may have to go home tonight and watch some on my smart tv if there are any left, or change my subscription to add Sirius so I can watch next week!

But did someone say it wasn't actually on Sirius live? Sirius said they would be live on Classic Vinyl and also doing some band interviews.

shunlvswx

Irving and Joe were interviewed by Sirius Classic Vinyl on Saturday(and other people from the other bands). I wished I wrote down what they said on both interviews. The interviews were kinda broken up between the songs, but Joe was on longer.

Irving said that some of the performances will be Sirius Classic Vinyl in a couple of days(I say a week or two) once they tweet some things. He didn't say which performances or how much of the festival will be put on Sirius, but he said it will.

My 30 day trial ends next week. So I'm hoping it will be on there sometime this week. I was thinking about subscribing to Sirius since Don has been on there a lot lately as a guest DJ.

Lucky for me, I downloaded the videos to my computer before they started to get blocked. I guess they were too busy yesterday to start blocking videos. :hilarious: They waited until Monday. I got majority of the videos before they were blocked.

But here's what Stevie said:

"I wanted to dedicate that song to Glenn Frey, who was my friend and I was such a big fan, and I also wanted to dedicate it to his son for stepping in and doing an amazing job last night. That is so much pressure and he just did it so beautifully and his daddy would be so proud of him. So I didn't do it before "Landslide" as I would just start to cry and wouldn't got through that. So that's for you big Glenn and little Glenn."

Now Deacon has stood on stage in front of 50,000 people and felt their love, is he going to want to let go?

They seem to have pulled this show off in a way that was respectful to Glenn. I believe Henley was right that including Deacon was the key because he drew an emotional response, not just from the crowd, but probably the rest of the band and crew. It's impossible to see Deacon on stage and not think of a young Glenn making this music when we were all young and pretty (those of us who were around at the time).

It sounded good. The setlist was classic and not very different to what Glenn would have chosen. This was a show for Glenn and not the time to throw out the old and experiment.

Clearly, Vince Gill brought the chops. A safe pair of hands. And all those backing musicians. There was no chance that this wan't going to sound good.

I wonder how sales of the NY tickets are going. I would think they've been pretty good since Saturday (possibly videos were allowed to stay up a little longer to help with the buzz).

When I first saw a live video of the show on Saturday from Twitter, Periscope and Instagram(you gotta love technology), the first thing I notice with Deacon was how he dressed. He literally dressed like how his dad did in the 70s. The sports jersey, sunglasses on top of his head, the sweatband, and of course the long hair. Deacon also did the open shirt that was Glenn's signature look since 1994. Deacon also had on a necklace. I bet that was Glenn's necklace. I know Glenn wore a necklace even after the 70s, but I always wonder what kind of necklace it was since he always had it in his shirt.

When Deacon opened his mouth and sang Take It Easy, I went "wow." I've never doubt he could sing. I just wanted to know how he sounded today since we only saw videos of him singing with his dad when he was a teenager. Actually his voice was the same, but a little more mature and develop.

I really haven't watched the whole videos of each song, but I think I'm going to do that tonight.

I think its going to sell out or be close to it. People love to buy tickets at the last second. When I saw Joe in Memphis last year, before I left home their were still a lot of tickets, but when I got there that night, it looked like the place was sold out. Not a single seat was empty.

I wouldn't be surprised if Deacon's whole "look" was done on purpose - perhaps to honor his Dad when he was the same age. Everyone knows that was Glenn's trade mark "look" back then. Deacon did a great job and certainly made Glenn and Cindy proud.
He sounded a little like Glenn but his voice is deeper than Glenn's was at that age. I would love to know what kind of necklace that was he had one. It would be pretty cool if he was wearing Glenn's Eagles necklace - that is if Glenn didn't toss it after they broke up.

It also sounds like Vince did a guitar solo on this song. Steuart's hands are not moving to seem like he's playing a solo. I don't know what kind of guitar Vince is playing, but it sounds like a stratocaster. I thought he didn't do any solos during the concert, but I know how Vince sounds when he plays a guitar solo and that was definitely Vince. I'm glad Vince did get to do a guitar solo. So both Deacon and Vince did get the chance to do a guitar solo. Maybe later Vince will get a rocking song he can turn loose on.

I agree. He's one good looking guy. Of course his good looks came from his good looking parents. Deacon is 13 years younger than me. Don't I wish I was in the 20s instead of hitting 40 in 3 years. :brickwall: :hilarious:

As I was looking at the pictures, I definitely see more of Cindy in his face than Glenn now, but he does have Glenn's deep eyes like I said earlier.

Well, I still see young Glenn when I see Deacon, but yes, he does have some of Cindy's characteristics too. I can also see many young girls falling rather swiftly for him too!

SHUN, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THIS! YOU HAVE GONE WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND GETTING ALL OF THIS FOR US! It is so appreciated and I hope you know that!

Already several of the videos have been blocked again, but I've gotten to see most of them.

Some rambling thoughts:

Still wondering what happened to Bernie and why he wasn't included.

At first I thought Vince was Don in that plaid shirt. Don has a very similar one. Glad Don didn't wear his that night! lol

I think Deacon should have sung Tequila Sunrise.

All in all though, a great show!

You're welcome everyone. I didn't go to bed until almost 3 and had church in the morning. I end up not going to church and I was out all day with my mother. You gotta love technology. They were showing videos on Twitter, Periscope and Instagram. One lady did that live thing that Facebook does. One guy tweeted what songs were being sung at that moment. I knew it was going to be a long night since Los Angeles is two hours behind me, but it was soo worth it. Thank goodness the Classic East show is only an hour ahead so it won't be as late coming on the stage and off like Classic West.

I'm so glad I downloaded those videos before they were blocked. I thought I had Lyin' Eyes, but I guess I didn't.

Well I would had been able to tell Don and Vince apart if Don did wear a plaid shirt. Vince is taller and wears glasses. I've notice Vince and Deacon are almost the same height, but I think Vince is probably an inch or two taller than Deacon. I still want to know where Deacon got his height from.

It was a great show and I know Glenn was probably proud of Deacon. I agree, Brooke. I see young girls falling for Deacon just like some of us did at his age with father and uncles. I just love when he calls them uncles.

I totally agree about the younger girls and Deacon, and mostly since I'm one of the younger generation fans. LOL ;) I'm at the weird age being 30 and now liking guys (both famous & not) the same age, older, and younger where it used to be just older. LOL  And how much I loved his dad.

But about Deacon's height that can skip a generation or two. Happened with a lot of guys I know. I too would've loved to hear him sing "Tequila Sunrise" and love how he calls the guys his uncles too.

Thanks again Shun for all the vids and posts!!! :D

Well when you've known these guys since you were in diapers. Yeah. They are your uncles. It kinda funny that I always wonder what the Eagles' children had called their fathers' bandmates when they were growing up. They were basically like their adopted uncles you've known since they were younger.

Buffy - Lol - too cute ! I think Deacon is cute too and I am old enough to be his Mom ! I can see all those young girls going nuts for him just like they did for Glenn when he was the same age.
Shun - Thanks again for all your work and I agree. Deacon would have just turned 12 months when the guys did HFO in April 1994. I always wondered about how close all the kids were to the guys. However, Don's statement about being estranged from Glenn gave me pause so to speak.
Deacon is 6'2" - so he towered over Glenn who was 5'9". I guess he got his height from Cindy's side of the family. I have seen pictures of his two brothers and they did not look much taller than him.
Like I said earlier, I think it was no accident Deacon dressed the way he did. Perhaps to honor his Dad ?
Don seemed very supportive of Deacon from what I saw. He kept coming over to him and talking to him. Vince's pat on the back was very sweet.

Buffyfan, your observation about age cracks me up! Not that I disagree ;) It reminded me of Glenn's quote from the '79 RS interview - something to that same sentiment, about being 30 and there being so many more "available women." Ha!

UTW, some great shots on the Daily News link - thanks! I especially liked the one attached.

Also, Eagles Fastlane has posted some photos of Deacon from the rehearsals with Joe, courtesy of Joe's photog Philip Macias. Check 'em out. He is one good looking kid for sure.

BJB, I forgot Glenn said that!!! LOL  But it's accurate. Being just over 30 now and still single it does feel weird sometimes but still I'm not that old. It's just also weird too just how much you see a resemblance between the two and how I wasn't even born when Glenn looked that way and now Deacon does. My parents too also were like how I've seen on here and in the reviews that seeing the vids it felt like being in a time warp with Deacon looking like 70s Glenn and the others being how they are now.

And loved the pics on the FL page!!! :D

Maybe Cindy just made sure Deacon got his vitamins :)

OT: what happened to Glenn's brothers, did they stay in Michigan? There was a recent post on FB from a guy who was friends with Matt Frey when they were young. He remembered the Eagles coming to dinner at the Frey home once when they were playing in Detroit.

The guys' kids were probably close to each other since they would travel with this dads when they're not in school and probably sit by each other when their dads are on stage, With Don and Glenn's children being the youngest of the group, they probably closer to each other since by the time 2001 happened when they went back touring non stop until 2015, Timothy's and Joe's children(I don't know if Joe's boys went on tour with them when school was out) probably didn't go on tour that much as they got older and left home but that's a good question about if the guys were closed to their bandmates' children. I'm going to say yes.

I think the guys were very supportive of Deacon throughout the night. Making sure he was ok. Making sure he wasn't too nervous. I watched Don clapping big back behind them as they introduce Deacon. They were so proud of Deacon. I'm going back to what Timothy asked Deacon when they started to rehearse, "are you up for the task." Deacon said yes and he definitely up for it. He has played in front of a crowd before, but in front of whatever how many was there. That would be nerve racking.

NMB - I remember when we were all talking about his brother's Matt's band, and if I remember right, his FB page stated that he lived in Calif. I saw when Glenn passed that a story said he lived in Phoenix.

Shun - I agree - it seemed like Don and Joe were very supportive to Deacon. I noticed that Don kept coming to him in between songs as did Joe, although Don more often from what I saw. I would bet that Deacon has probably not played before more than 100-200 people. From what Soda said, when she went to the HS benefit to see Glenn and Deacon, it was only a small number of people if I remember right. It must have been very over whelming for him playing before 50,000+ people. He did a great job and made both Cindy and Glenn proud.
Anyone else think Deacon dressed like that on purpose in memory of his Dad? Sun glasses on top of his head, long hair, sports shirt, wrist bands evoking so many memories of his Dad when he was Deacon's age.

It looks like all the Classic West Eagles videos have now been removed from YT. I saw one of "I Can't Tell You Why" that I hadn't before, and I only watched it once. I liked it b/c Timothy had some dialogue before the song and he talks about how ICTYW began. He said he had bits and pieces of several songs but they (Glenn and Don) kept going back to this one bit that later became the first track on The Long Run. Anyway, I didn't know these little details (or maybe I just forgot). Also, I don't know how much talking Timothy did at past Eagles concerts.

Yes. I think he did, but I'm ok with that. I thought that was sweet IMO. To honor your father by wearing the stuff he wore at Deacon's age. A little part of Glenn with him. His stylist did a great job putting the whole thing together.

Are you sure he had a stylist? It's one thing for publicity shots but it seems like he would know his own father well enough that he didn't need to use one, especially if his mother was helping out.

I thought Deacon was great and he didn't look nervous at all. His voice sounded similar to Glenn's but not as polished and just a little lower.

I'll bet Cindy is really proud and maybe a little sad, too. I'm glad the first show is behind them now.

Question: It seems that they are pulling all the videos from YouTube except Deacon's. Are they are purposely keeping them up for publicity for him? I was really interested to see how Vince did on his leads but those were taken down so quickly that I didn't get an opportunity.

Here's Vince singing Tequila Sunrise. I would watch this quickly before this one is gone too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63SyfTQy0PE

That is an interesting observation. Maybe they are taking down videos that's not the whole song or maybe like you said. Publicity.

I really hope they don't start taking down Vince's solo videos. It seem like they don't mess with Joe's solo videos. Joe probably don't mind if they record his shows.

Thank you for that! I also want to say how much I appreciate the work you have put into posting all of this information.

I think that they (the Eagles) want people to see that Deacon is up to the task. They almost never leave videos up.

Vince is one of the best singers/pickers in the game, IMHO. He is also a genuinely nice man and well respected.

I also love how the band thanked the fans for supporting them and "the family." All in all, I'm really glad it went so well and I hope that they continue to be successful. I've got nothing but love for all 9 of them. KUDOS, EAGLES!

I loved what Don said about Vince. One of the finest singers, finest songwriters and finest musician that America has ever made(something like that). Hearing that coming from Don made me so happy.

However, I think I remember reading the recap of Irving's interview with Sirius/XM about the show the Eagles Fastlane FB page posted that Irving said Deacon's been wearing the shades on his head for quite awhile (as in years) and made it sound like he inherited that too. :)

There is probably not a lot I can add that already hasn't been said. We had a great time and enjoyed the show. Bob Seger coming out to perform Heartache Tonight was an unexpected surprise. I was happy that they opened with SBR.

As you can tell from the attached photos we were up in the reserved seats on the right hand side but the screens were clear and visible. It was warm until the sun went down so the second night we hung out in the center reserve section where we could stand, dance and see everything front on and was in the shade. Seeing the large crowd is a spectacle unto itself!

We stayed in Chinatown about a mile away and walked back to the hotel after each night. We took an Uber there though as Dodger Stadium is on top of quite a high hill!

Overall, I think they did the best they could without having Glenn there and the fans were certainly appreciative and supportive of Deacon.

Definitely glad I attended....looking forward to Don's show this Saturday when I will be up close and personal!

Think LROOE died a death after they omitted it from HOTE, if material doesn't get revived for a celebration of your entire catalogue then it's in trouble.

Whilst I would be partial to having the superb How Long back in the set, I believe Henley doesn't care for Busy Being Fabulous, who I would guess now has a rather firm grip on their performance. I also think a lot of it doesn't fit too well with their 70s work / current set: I can't imagine there's much hope for the likes of uber-gentle Waiting in the Weeds or the utterly wonderful but light years long title track being brought back in a sea of Already Gone and Witchy Woman for example.

I feel like I should be whispering - some more videos have been posted and they are from a good angle - slightly elevated and from Timothy's side. They show the entire front line (ie you can see Timothy and Steuart) as well as many of the backing musicians. During LITFL, Joe attempts to kick Steuarts's butt. Less good for watching the least vocalist but great for seeing how they work together.

To tell the truth. I thought they might bust into How Long because usually when they sing Seven Bridges Road, How Long follows, but who would sing How Long with Don since it was co-lead song.

They did play How Long a few times on the HOTE tour. The Forum(only one show and I think that was January 15th), Stateline, NV concert and a few shows in Europe(mostly the festival shows).

If they ever play a song from LROOE, it will be How Long.

They did open with How Long at the Wang Center in Boston in September, as well. It was during the HOTE tour, but it was a benefit for Walden Woods so the song choices were a little different. They also did Dirty Laundry that night.

I can't imagine them doing it now, since as Shun said, Don and Glenn sang the co-leads on it.

They might had Deacon sing it with Don. It seems a little suitable for his voice. I need to go back watching the videos I saved to see how well Deacon blended with Don when Don is harmonizing. I heard him with Vince and they blended good.

Sounds like according to the Variety article there will be more of an official announcement tomorrow but does sounds like they're going out on more dates with just a few of the bands at other baseball stadiums. I actually probably would go (as would a lot of my family) if they do end up playing in Ohio and since it's at the stadiums that leaves Cincinnati's Great American Ballpark (where I saw Paul McCartney) and Cleveland's as options.

I must say the Classic West was absolutely awesome!!!! I am so glad we got to attend.

Shun, thank you so much for gathering all the information together, it was almost like being there all over again! I really appreciate it!!

When they all appeared on stage it was like, Oh My Gosh, Deacon looks just like 70's Glenn (as you all have already stated)! It was just unreal, present day Eagles with 70's Glenn. It brought tears to my eyes and quite a few other people as well. My daughter was like, Whoa!!!, Deacon is hot! I had told her he was a cute guy, but I guess she had to see it for herself. She immediately started following him on social media (she is the same age as Deacon).
As I mentioned in Randy's thread, I was heartbroken to learn that he was there and that I had missed him, but so glad he is able to get out and about. If only he had looked up to the top deck, he could have seen me!! I was so glad to learn that Don Henley dedicated TITTL to Randy, that made my day because I was saying it myself and actually missed Don saying it live. I was a little emotional at the moment.
So glad that Bob Seger was there, that was who I had picked as special guest before it was announced, he was outstanding!

I went to the classic west and was 6th row! Met some amazing fans and had a blast. It was very interesting I'm 27 years old so naturally everyone noticed I was the youngest person around. Out of all the artists the only time security was around was during the eagles performance (I think a DVD/Blu ray will get a release)

There was probably around 45 security guards within first 15 rows and I was on the side aisle so they were talking to me before the started. They asked me "why do you think this band is legendary?" Which I thought was interesting cause I didn't say that and they had no idea who Eagles were. I said what makes you think that? They said head of security sat everyone down and told them to stop anyone from recording because their manager doesn't want the footage released. Which come show time you couldn't lift your phone more then 10 seconds recording. I've been to over 200 concerts and I've never seen security so on point.

Before they hit the stage this person I become friends with told me that Irving asoff (not sure of spelling) came out during press conference and said that he wanted to play Safeco field. They were from Seattle so I said if they go to Seattle I'll fly up there and buy y'all a beer. Really funny how it was announced very shortly after... he had dates in mind before the shows reviews.

That moment when Deacon said "does anybody else miss my dad?" Towards end of Peaceful Easy feeling then pic of Glenn goes on the screen. What a moment of feels

Another interesting thing I found was the next night when Fleetwood Mac was performing the entire row 2 rows behind me. The new friends were row behind me and then security showed up again but only in this spot so I was curious as to why. Definitely not as much security as eagles... I asked him what happened since the entire row was gone. He said Irving Asoff had the entire row cleared and is bringing his crew. I was like what!!

I got some videos and pics but Kendall Jenner and her friends were right behind us. And I looked back during one of the songs and locked eyes with Cindy Crawford. 😍 So some celebrities definitely enjoyed themselves!

Eagles were fantastic. Can't wait for Safeco I think they will slowly announce dates. I wonder if Evening With Eagles is more sit down and stripped down acoustic so who knows.

I think they will release it for DVD since Irving is having all the YouTube videos taken down even the ones that were in The Rolling Stones article which would have been great publicity for selling tickets..
