..so, I was all prepared for the blizzard yesterday, but it never materialized...we have it today instead...high winds and snow...and NO chocolate..'cause I ate it all yesterday!!!...:unimpressed:....will I ever learn???...lol

Hope everyone is doing okay and digging out just fine. GL - I'm so sorry you had to brave the blizzard alone while hubby was away. Hope you made out okay.

Made out fine. Hunkered down with my kitties, relaxed & listened to the wind howl. Nice sunny day today & I got plowed out early.

BTW, it doesn't help that I just got an email from hubby with a picture of him frolicking in the waves (with another woman even) in South Carolina. :unimpressed: :laugh:

Today it felt warm, but I think it's about 35 degrees, so the snow is melting. It's a little sloppy out there, but it was only about 6 inches here.
Some kids built a snowman in the garden out front of the building.
Tomorrow lots of rain expected & 40 degrees, so we should have some nice wet streets with flooding. Glad I have like 6 pairs of boots to wear in any weather because each condition requires a different boot! At least for me it does. I'm prepared!

OMG, yesterday it hit 55F around 3 then the temp started to drop, rain, wind, and then huge snowflakes and 30F by 6 pm! Crazy!

Today it is 19F and the wind is blowing like crazy! Brrrrrr....

We got a blizzard warning Tuesday and sure enough Wednesday it hit us. I guess the weather people have to get it right every once and awhile.
Lots of snow even in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix). Cold this morning and now they are saying we may get hit again Sunday. This is Arizona, we aren't used to this kind of cold weather. :worried:

24 here and snowing like crazy! We even had thundersnow with lightning! Crazy!

The boss told us to go home about 11:30 before it got too bad. We had about 2 inches then. We could get up to 10 inches here! :fear:

Thanks! Our power went out right after I posted those! Thankfully it just came back on! 3 hours isn't too bad, but I was mad!

It's looking more and more likely that we're going to get a big snow storm on Wednesday with power outages likely. I am so not up for this. The odds yesterday of 'significant snow' were 30%. Today they're 70%. I still have hope, though, these guys are hardly ever right. The storm is officially called 'Saturn', but folks here in DC are already calling it Snowquester to go hand in hand with the other big mess in DC.

Another storm headed this way this afternoon but it's suppose to be a quick one and out of here by tomorrow and then into the 40s for at least a week according to the reports. I guess this afternoon and tonight we will be dumped on by about 10 inches or so. I'm still not complaining because for the most part, this has been another easy winter for us with lots of thawing between storms and snowfalls. We might actually be able to have all our snow gone before May this year. :thumbsup:

Snowing here again this morning! This is ridiculous! We just don't normally get this much snow! I feel for those of you that do. We usually get 3 or 4 snows a winter with around 4-6 inches and it melts off in a day or so. 8-10 inches in the first one last week and then another 6-8 in the next one. And it snowed every day last week in between. I'm tired of it now...bring on spring!

Nope, we started out with 13 days built into the calendar...if we lose any, it will be in April or May, on the days we were meant to have Inservice (with no students)...2 years ago we had to do that, but we were still one day over and went on a Saturday :nahnah:...I don't think our Superintendent likes to mess with parents' vacation plans...

Not much happening here except that the wind is picking up. I am hearing things flying around out there. I'm dreading heading out there. Near my house it is very windy, as we are a very tall building on a corner & at an angle. There are times when I actually feel myself being pushed out there by the wind. They are expecting rain & some snow later, so tonight should be fun, fun, fun getting home!

Yes, safe travels everyone! I just made it in to work after the snowplow made it down our road.

All schools out in our area today because the busses can't get through the roads. Of course they had school yesterday and let it out early right in the midst of the worst weather. They knew it was gonna happen, it was bad early in the morning, yet the had school anyway. That always frustrates me. But they got their day in for funding. Who cares if someone gets killed on the bad roads. :mad: And I don't even have kids in school anymore.

The sun is trying to shine now. Very deceiving! :lol:

It turned to mostly rain here for a while, then after that, even though it snowed heavily, it basically melted right away. By 4pm there was less snow than at 10am, and it turned to rain then. The wind is blowing now...

Yeah - we lucked out a bit - we were right along the dividing line and only got about 2 inches. But, areas less than 25 miles west from me got about 6 inches.

It's been snowing here. When I left for work there was already about 2-3 inches. I think they are expecting about 6 inches. Tomorrow is supposed to get warmer so it should all be gone by tomorrow night. It isn't really that cold out, so I guess it won't be too bad. In Manhattan it is barely sticking. I haven't been out for lunch yet, but I don't think there's much snow out there. By my house it will be a lot worse!

Two inches of rain Friday night. 53 yesterday. 49 and more rain today. The snow has mostly melted and gone except where it was piled up. What a difference in just a few days!
